BLAST Premier Global Final opening matches and schedule revealed

Top flight Counter-Strike will return to action in 2021 with the $1 million BLAST Premier Global Final, which kicks off on January 19.

Four BLAST Premier Series winners and four top teams from the BLAST Ranking will face off in the BLAST Premier Global Final, taking place online in Europe on January 19-24. The $1 million event will feature a double elimination bracket with all matches played in best-of-three series.

Astralis were seeded the highest by their peers

The opening match on January 19 will put the No. 1 ranked team in the world, Astralis, facing Evil Geniuses at 16:30 , followed by G2 vs. FURIA at 19:30 to close out the first day of play.

The second day will start three hours earlier, at 13:30 , with the first of three matches, which pairs the third best team of 2020, Vitality, up against Complexity.

The last of the four opening matches will then pit Natus Vincere and Liquid, now with Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo manning the AWP, at 16:30 . The lower bracket will then kick off at 19:30 , giving way to the rest of bracket play on subsequent days until the champion is crowned on January 24.

What do you mean, was OG qualified and who replaced them?

OG was 9th, and top 8 teams are in the global finals, so...
2021-01-13 16:39
How and why were OG robbed? Astralis, Vitality, Complexity and EG qualified through the blast Spring/Fall finals. The rest four were filled through the Blast Ranking, Astralis and Vitality are the first and second. So they went with 3rd to 6th... which is Navi, G2, Furia and Liquid in that exact order. OG isn't even 7th, they're 9th.

nah i feel Liquid has a genuinely good chance for finals here EG should probably go out early but no one knows what Fallen's Liquid will be like in an official game yet and they have had a long time to prepare

+1 I think liquid will most likely make it to top 4, but I don’t know from there.

they can likely beat NaVi and coL but i cant see them beating vitality they could get unlucky and get eliminated early if coL somehow beats Vitality and they lose to NaVi

I’m not sure about the rest of the tournaments, but for this one teams themselves were placing each other from top to bottom, and made top1 vs top8, top2 cs top7, etc. G2 were placed 4th, and Furia 5th
