SPELLAN announces free agency
The Bulgarian player is looking to take on a new challenge, in Europe or North America.
Teodor "SPELLAN" Nikolov is no longer contracted to SKADE, ending a 14-month cooperation with the team, the player announced on Twitter. He is now looking for new challenges and is open to playing in international teams, as an in-game leader or a regular player.
SPELLAN played his last game for SKADE in December of last year, when the team recorded a 2-0 loss to HellRaisers in the European Development Championship 1. Since then, they were seen competing with Georgi "SHiPZ" Grigorov in his place, who is currently transfer listed by c0ntact.
"We had some great moments together with this lineup, also really bad ones," SPELLAN said in his statement about his tenure as the in-game leader of SKADE, who oscillated around the 50th spot in the world rankings for the last year.
"When I joined the team I had really high goals for this lineup and I wanted us to work super hard to achieve them, but not everyone was on the same page as me so it was hard to have a healthy mood and connection inside the team. I will wish all the luck to the boys in SKADE and will remember only the good memories which we had together."
Talking about his future, SPELLAN mentions that he took some time off and is now "back to grinding hard without any breaks", waiting for offers while playing FPL and working on his individual form. The 23-year-old who is mostly known as an in-game leader is ready to "try something different" in his next team, albeit he is content with being the shot caller once again if that is required.
SPELLAN noted that he is open to playing in international teams, in Europe or North America. The Bulgarian displayed the capability to lead in English with Epsilon in 2019, the squad that peaked at #22 in the world rankings.
