EXTREMUM close in on BnTeT deal
The Indonesian star is about to fulfil his wish of playing in Europe.
Gen.G player Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand is on the brink of completing a transfer to EXTREMUM, HLTV.org and 1pv.fr can confirm. The former TYLOO player will link up with the core of the former 100 Thieves lineup, which has been in talks with the Russian organisation for several weeks now, as previously reported by DBLTAP.
Gen.G recently made their entire roster — which features BnTeT, Kenneth "koosta" Suen. Timothy "autimatic" Ta and coach Chris "Elmapuddy" Tebbit — available for transfer, giving the quartet permission to explore their options during the off-season.

The Indonesian player has been with Gen.G since January 2020, when he was signed from TYLOO. He enjoyed a bright start in North America as Gen.G won DreamHack Open Anaheim and ESL One: Road to Rio, but results took a turn for the worse in the second half of the season. The team ended up turning to Swedish pair Richard "Xizt" Landström and Rasmus "kreaz" Johansson to be able to field a roster for Flashpoint 2, their final tournament of the year, after Damian "daps" Steele and Sam "s0m" Oh had decided to move to VALORANT.
The EXTREMUM lineup, which will reportedly be guided by former 100 Thieves coach Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović, is expected to compete in Europe in 2021. In a recent interview with HLTV.org, BnTeT said that he had already received some "interesting offers" and voiced his preference for a move to Europe.
EXTREMUM have been involved in Counter-Strike since 2019, fielding players such as Savelii "jmqa" Bragin, Nikita "waterfaLLZ" Matveyev and Vladyslav "arch" Svistov. The Russian organisation first opened talks with 100 Thieves' inactive trio of Aaron "AZR" Ward, Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas and Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai, and then with Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad, who has been confirmed to be on his way out of Apeks. The quartet played together for over two years in North America, notably reaching the playoffs at the IEM Katowice and the StarLadder Berlin Majors.
With BnTeT's signing, EXTREMUM will field the following lineup:
Aaron "AZR" Ward
Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas
Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai
Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad
Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand
Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović (coach)
