cs_summit 7 format and group distribution announced
The $200,000 tournament will start with a GSL group stage, which will lead into a single-elimination playoffs bracket.
Beyond the Summit have announced the format and group distribution for the upcoming cs_summit 7 event. The 12 participants have been distributed into three GSL groups, from which the top two teams will secure their berth in the single-elimination playoffs.
Two more playoffs teams will be decided via last-chance matches, which will feature the three third-placed teams and the highest fourth-placed side.
Group A will see OG return to action after the winter break and take on Dignitas in the opening match, with Complexity set to face fnatic in the other encounter in the Swedes' debut with their newest member, Jack "Jackinho" Ström Mattsson.
The highest-ranked team of the tournament, Heroic, have been placed in Group B alongside mousesports, FaZe, and the brand new MIBR squad around Gustavo "yel" Knittel.
FURIA headline Group C, which also features Cloud9, who will play their first tournament without Özgür "woxic" Eker at cs_summit 7, as well as Virtus.pro and NIP.
