cs_summit 7 format and group distribution announced

The $200,000 tournament will start with a GSL group stage, which will lead into a single-elimination playoffs bracket.

Beyond the Summit have announced the format and group distribution for the upcoming cs_summit 7 event. The 12 participants have been distributed into three GSL groups, from which the top two teams will secure their berth in the single-elimination playoffs.

Two more playoffs teams will be decided via last-chance matches, which will feature the three third-placed teams and the highest fourth-placed side.

fnatic will lock horns with Complexity in their debut with Jackinho

Group A will see OG return to action after the winter break and take on Dignitas in the opening match, with Complexity set to face fnatic in the other encounter in the Swedes' debut with their newest member, Jack "Jackinho" Ström Mattsson.

The highest-ranked team of the tournament, Heroic, have been placed in Group B alongside mousesports, FaZe, and the brand new MIBR squad around Gustavo "yel" Knittel.

FURIA headline Group C, which also features Cloud9, who will play their first tournament without Özgür "woxic" Eker at cs_summit 7, as well as Virtus.pro and NIP.

The group distribution is once again:

Brazil FURIA
CIS Virtus.pro

yeah, dignitas is gonna get fucking shredded :( nice to see them play against better teams but this is a bit too much lol, they should stick to t3 cs for now. though i hope they surprise me and pull awesome performances like that bo3 vs fnatic last year

Yea. f0rest is still playing very good, Harr3 can also unleash. I just hope heap steps up and friberg gets over 0.4kd xD And hope Hallzerk controls his anger/feelings
2021-01-21 21:10
why don't Dignitas buy out aizy and MSL? leave hallzerk, f0rest and H4RR3? I think MSL is still capable of playing the role of captain in a cool way. And after switching to English in communication, you can safely add new players, creating EU mix f0rest MSL hallzerk aizy H4RR3
