cs_summit 7 Fantasy game goes live

Fantasy players can pick their five-man teams from twelve squads competing at the event.

The Fantasy game for cs_summit 7 is open for action, with users allowed to create leagues and teams, as well as compete for prizes provided by our partner CS.money.

cs_summit 7 will have four top-10 teams fighting for a $200,000 prize pool over January 25-31, starting with a BO3 GSL group stage and followed by single-elimination BO3 playoffs.

Fantasy players will be looking to grab a reasonably-priced cadiaN ($209,000)

Heroic and OG are expected to go the furthest in the tournament, making their players interesting for selection, while a number of teams could still undergo roster changes, namely FaZe and mousesports. Additionally, the attendances of Valentin "poizon" Vasilev and Paytyn "junior" Johnson are still under a questionmark.

It is worth noting that, for example, if a user selects Finn "karrigan" Andersen and he moves to FaZe — which was reported as a possibility earlier in January —, that user will get assigned karrigan's replacement in mousesports, which could be the Australian in-game leader Christopher "dexter" Nong.

Prizes for the cs_summit 7 HLTV x CS.money league:

1. Flip Knife | Night (Field-Tested)
2. AWP | Asiimov (Field-Tested)
3. AK-47 | Asiimov (Field-Tested)

The winners of the official Fantasy leagues will be contacted via the email provided in their HLTV profile, and are required to respond to the email within a month to be eligible to receive their prizes.

"a number of teams could still undergo roster changes, namely FaZe and mousesports. Additionally, the attendances of Valentin "poizon" Vasilev and Paytyn "junior" Johnson are still under a questionmark." So, with all these unknowns, there's a new layer of game here. In addition to trying to pick players that do well, do you go for safe bets or questionmarks? What if you pick a questionmark and then there's a shitty last minute stand-in? You're screwed. Or maybe the stand-in does spectacularly. Kinda hard to pick a fantasy team when you don't know what players you are picking. -_-
