EXTREMUM unveil roster featuring former 100 Thieves core
The squad, joined by Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand, found a new home in Europe.
Five of the six members that represented 100 Thieves until October 2020 have reunited in EXTREMUM, the organization announced on Sunday, putting an end to months of speculation.
The team consists of the Oceanic trio Aaron "AZR" Ward, Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas, and Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai, as well as Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad, who returns to the fold after two months in Apeks. Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović also rejoins the squad following a short stint in Cloud9, while the final piece is former Gen.G and TYLOO player BnTeT, who will step into Justin "jks" Savage's shoes.

AZR will continue bearing the in-game leadership duties, with the 28-year-old now having the help of Nestor "LETN1" Tanić who joins as the team's analyst and manager. The player will therefore reunite with kassad, having played with the team's head coach in CS 1.6 and CS:GO.
In a statement regarding the signing, AZR noted that moving to Europe was the team's goal for 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic and that EXTREMUM's offer fit him the best. "They offered me the chance to help them put together a team and I accepted the offer. It has already been a great joy working with them and seeing what their vision for the brand is great."
"I am so excited to play CS with my good old teammates Liazz, Grats, Jkaem, and kassad, and with our new teammate BnTeT, who will be a great addition to the team. We're looking forward to playing in Europe and grinding against the best in the world. The boys are back!"
EXTREMUM is an organization backed by private investors, with the two leading figures of the project being Emir "sngz" Udvincic as Head of Business Development and Evgeniy "aBi" Kuzmin as Sports Director. Until the signing of AZR and co., only CIS-based players had represented the team.
The core of EXTREMUM played their last match together on October 19th, finishing second in IEM New York 2020 North America, but will be looking to hit the ground running as the new season has already kicked off. While they will compete in Europe, they do plan to travel to North America for specific Regional Major Ranking (RMR) events in order to retain their points and try to qualify for PGL Major Stockholm.
