forZe, Sprout round out Snow Sweet Snow 1 playoff list; EXTREMUM eliminated

The Australian team fell to forZe in the final match of the Swiss stage.

Eight teams that advanced from the groups of Snow Sweet Snow 1 have been decided on Friday, following the final matches of the stage. forZe spoiled EXTREMUM's debut tournament by securing a 2-1 victory over Aaron "AZR" Ward's team, while Sprout recovered from a 0-2 start and made playoffs by taking down Dignitas in the final round.

ENCE and Winstrike were the first two squads to make the playoffs, going 3-0, followed by Sangal, GODSENT, and Endpoint. In addition to forZe and Sprout, Izako Boars earned a playoff spot on the final day by overcoming countrymen PACT.

FL1T posted a 1.55 rating against EXTREMUM

EXTREMUM were eliminated with 2-3 record, beating HONORIS and Izako Boars, but losing to higher-tier opponents in Winstrike, GODSENT, and forZe. Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad and Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand were standout players for the reunited squad, but their efforts weren't enough to get them into the next stage of competition.

The best performers in the tournament so far are Aleksei "El1an" Gusev (1.46 rating) and Paweł "dycha" Dycha (1.39 rating), with GODSENT duo Bruno "b4rtiN" Câmara (1.25 rating) - Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer (1.21 rating) and Izako Boars' Hubert "szejn" Światły (1.21) closing out the top 5.

Next on the schedule is the playoff stage, where the eight teams from the groups will face off in the round of 12, with the winners of those matchups taking on one of the four invited teams in round of 8.

Playoff invites were handed to the following teams:

The invited teams are ranked 10-21 in the world, with Virtus.pro being the favorites for the event as they are currently on a three-tournament winning streak. A total of $40,000 is reserved for the champions of Snow Sweet Snow 1.

Without JKS carrying the core is dogshit. The current Renegades lineup would probably beat them in a BO3, even if EXTREMUM had time to develop more with Bntet.

forZe won't beat Winstrike for sure, I think Sprout can take a win against ENCE tho. And honestly I'm not surprised that EXTREMUM didn't make the playoffs.

That's all good, still need to get a proper map pool instead of just picking randomly and then they should be winning those matchups.
