Bruh how is Extra Salt only in the qualifier? Especially with so many of the best NA teams in Europe, there's no way there's 6 NA teams better than them.

Oh I know why now. According to ESL Rankings, there's 5 better teams in NA: Rebirth, BNB, paiN, Triumph and High Coast. The 6th spot might be reserved for the DH Showdown Champ, such as in DHO EU Decemeber, or for the higher ranked SA teams, that might've moved to NA (O PLANO, Imperial or MIBR)

only teams that should be getting invited over them would be triumph, high coast and pain even that would be questionable

But if there is never any sort of structure how will we ever be sure teams have a fair shot of getting in? The rank decay obviously has hurt BnB (as it should) because of the complete roster overhaul but these other teams shouldn't be penalized because of something out of their control. There are times where the top ranked golfer/tennis player would be ranked extremely low because of rank decay/injuries. But it's a part of a needed structure. The thing is that these 2 sports do take into consideration things like this. They know there are outside factors that made their rank drop and are obviously healthy enough to compete. Thus they have spots that are invites for people who qualify due to rank and save some spots for invites due to special circumstances and if there are none the spot/s would go back to the people hoping to get in through an open qualifier. But of course there is a clause in there stating it so it again goes back to structure. Maybe these tournament organizers could do something along these lines as BnB has obviously shown they belong with the invitees.
