LNZ joins Young Ninjas

The 18-year-old will make his first appearance for the team later on Tuesday.

NIP have announced that their academy roster, Young Ninjas, is once again complete following the addition of Linus "LNZ" Holtäng. The Swedish player will fill the void left by Erik "ztr" Gustafsson, who has been playing for the organisation's main team since Simon "twist" Eliasson was benched, at the beginning of the month.

LNZ has spent most of his career playing for British teams, including CeX, Wind and Rain and nerdRage. He competed in ESEA Advanced Season 34 with Lilmix and in Svenska Elitserien Fall 2020 with Prima alongside ztr and fnatic's Jack "Jackinho" Ström Mattsson.

LNZ is the newest member of NIP's academy team

“We’ll invest heavily in this and work hard to equip young Swedish talents with everything they need in order to develop further," NIP COO Jonas Gundersen told HLTV.org. "Sweden has an incredibly rich history of having the very best talent within the FPS genre of games. We feel that it’s a part of our DNA to help rekindle that so we can keep being a world dominating nation".

LNZ joins Young Ninjas ahead of the team's first match in Svenska Elitserien Spring 202, against the new Lemondogs roster. Later this week, the squad will be competing in the Esportal Nordic Invitational against teams like Lilmix, Astralis Talent and Singularity.

With LNZ's signing, Young Ninjas now have:

Sweden Linus "nilo" Bergman
Sweden Tim "Mann3n" Isak
Sweden Love "phzy" Smidebrant
Sweden Anton "Sapec" Palmgren
Sweden Linus "LNZ" Holtäng

Sweden Frederik "JAEGARN" Andersson (coach)

They need a better coach, because it is so fucking chaotic! Everything they do, both CT and T. They win most of the time because they win duels and 1 guy is hitting mad shit. But they are so bad vs aggressive teams like vitality and furia, feels like threat doesnt know how to prepare the team for the aggressive teams at all.
2021-02-24 00:51
Hope this doesnt mean ztr is actually joining nip.. Or what the hell, I dont even care anymore, keep hampus, sign the child and keep on disgracing the nip name. Im over it.

100% they need a new coach, threat hasnt done anything good for nip in a long time. Same with fnatic, the swedish coaches has 0 impact.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Look at threats impact in 2016. Took nip from decline into 4 t1 wins. When he joined this second time nip looked refreshed. Its more like he needs more capable players that can do his plays. But its somewhat his fault. He got an idea stuck in his mind that he needed "young" player that he could mold this time around. That was the misstake.

The problem is that threat hasnt evolved since 2016 and the rest of the coaches have evolved alot. They looked refreshed for a short period when threat rejoined, but it was only a honeymoon period. They have some really good players, but it looks so chaotic when they play. Exactly the same with fnatic

It is the coaches job to prepare the team for different teams, and I havent seen nip being even close to beating either vitality or furia even once. The players either dont follow his system whatsoever(which I kinda doubt), or his system is shit.

100% agree. IF he was a great talent he would pull up huge numbers. But he isn't. He wont grow into the team either. so im pretty sure he wont get "better" over time

Look at Misutaa, he wasn't really a big fragger for Vitality when joining. Doing like 0.6 - 0.9 ratings. Now though, he really perform some games and is a really good player. ztr has been alot better than Misutaa were when joining. Give him time
2021-02-24 10:34
why would he have huge numbers just because he's a talent? Not all players have the same roles... He's not there to be the start player, that is supposed to be nawwk and rez. ztr is playing lots of anchor and support, why would he put up huge numbers? Everything you fucking silvers care about is high numbers...

lmao. i ain't silver i can tell you that. I just don't think he is goods enough to play in the A team A T M. Maybe in the future. That's my opinion.
