Imperial beat Sharks to secure DH Open March SA title
Caio "zqkS" Fonseca's troops went undefeated in the four-team tournament and repeated the upper bracket final victory.
Imperial defeated Sharks 3-1 in the DreamHack Open March South America grand final on Sunday, earning $16,000 and a spot in IEM Summer 2021, a $250,000 tournament which will be held in June. The World No.125 entered the series with a map advantage due to coming from the upper bracket, and were able to get a repeat win against their domestic rival to pick up their second title since the organisation revamped the lineup with the additions of Arthur "f4stzin" Schmitt, Guilherme "piriajr" Barbosa, and Cristopher "ckzao" Chalus in January following the victory in the Redragon Summer Finals last month.
"I have no words, this means so much to us," zqkS said in the post-match interview. "We started this team really recently. We have only been playing together since January, so it's great. I'm really happy with it."

Imperial displayed a near-perfect CT side on Mirage as they strolled to a 13-2 lead, led by piriajr and f4stzin, who combined for 38 frags. Sharks didn't give up and won seven in a row in the second half, but zqkS's men kept their cool and closed the map with ease.
Sharks came alive on their opponents' map pick of Train and won the first half 8-7. They had a great start to their T side and chained four together to keep up the pressure on their opponents, fending off Imperial's late comeback attempt with a 1v1 clutch from Jhonatan "jnt" Silva against zqkS.
Sharks looked the better side in the early stages of Dust2, but Imperial tightened up and had a 7-1 run to end the half on top, with piriajr once again at the center of the action. They kept their momentum after the break with a 1v2 clutch by f4stzin in the second pistol and were in cruise control for the remainder of the map.
