Endpoint unveil academy roster

The British organisation has assembled its talent roster following an extensive selection process.

Endpoint revealed on Wednesday their five-man academy roster after announcing the grassroots program at the start of the year. The new team, named Endpoint ROG Academy, was put together after hundreds of applicants were whittled down to five promising talents by head coach George "Whitey" White, who brought forth the idea from his experience as a football coach.

The academy roster is part of a long-term path to pro project that is dedicated to developing talent in the scene and is financially supported by Endpoint, who will provide the team with bootcamp facilities and trips to multiple local LAN events in the future. The prospects will have the chance to gain experience in the main team once they have developed into well-rounded players with the necessary skillset to compete at higher levels.

Endpoint have finalised their new academy lineup

Media content will be released by the organisation regularly to showcase the growth of the players and help them build their brands and platforms for the future.

"I am beyond excited to finally bring this process to a close and have my final five players," Whitey told HLTV.org. "It has been a learning process for myself and Endpoint going through these scouting stages, but it’s been amazing. We’ve not only found five players for this academy team but also learnt about the depth of talent within the UK, which I’m happy with.

"My team are unbelievably privileged to work under Endpoint for a long term project, so we can now go into a development phase for the players in the coming months. I appreciate all the support from the community thus far and I am super excited to finally work with these players very closely every day to get them to grow to that next level."

The path to pro model will also support up-and-coming UK players by using Endpoint’s UK & Ireland circuit on FACEIT to scout new talents, who will have the opportunity to make their way through the system and eventually to the main roster.

Endpoint Academy have the following roster:

United Kingdom Andrew "Wolfie" Allan
United Kingdom Richard "Richardb0b" Brierley
Netherlands Kevin "vKEMPeN" Van Kempen
United Kingdom Benjamin "Klay" Hurst

they're mostly players from intermediate teams, some of them have matches from domestic events like epic.LAN or UKCS cash cup. But they're far from the best uk talents who are in UMX and Zarans Jeans and playing at advanced level.
2021-04-07 20:41
Dexie is a very good awper and will probably be the best player before he didnt get a chance in tier 2 teams as he didnt have the right mindset but now he fixed it up and hes been playing in ecs and some cups on esea but he is a very good player and whitey even said he could possibly be on the main team due to his skill

Yes? An academy team does not need to have f*cking 15 year olds only lol. Look at football(soccer) academies they have U23, U21, U20 etc etc.

Well duh? But again, a team can have some sort of academy team with 15-35 year olds. It does not matter.
2021-04-07 21:01

Football players that are of this age that have grown up through the ranks have a FARRRRRRRRRRR better chance then making it as they are contracted on a full actual wage etc. However CS players the skill gap is very different. I see your point but It is very different man. I'm not saying that It's a failure because I know these players but the point you made isn't really valid in comparison to football.
2021-04-07 21:04
and the main team is basically the same age average age as the academy team.

Being an Academy team simply implies that it is not the main one. Consequently players' age does not matter that much.

I have never heard about any of those players, but I always love those academy projects, especially in the scene like UK, they really need young talents, I wish them the best, GJ Endpoint.

So many haters in the comments lol. I think it’s cool to give new players opportunities.
2021-04-07 23:06
just lost their best player so they will be out of top 30 real soon...... in order to have a farm/academy team you need a parent team to feed into. both are going to be below tier 1... good for UK though keep on building

Not really, there has always been bad teams doing this shit. But tbh endpoint are successful for being uk. Just think about it, a uk team being in top 30 and winning over NA team EG. What can I say. Didn't space soldiers have a academy team back in the day, they were not the best either even though they played in major :P
