Heroic qualify for BLAST Premier World Final following EPL victory

The Danish team have booked the first spot at the $1 million showpiece event.

Heroic became on Sunday the first team to qualify for the 2021 BLAST Premier World Final after winning ESL Pro League Season 13. The event will take place from December 14-19 at an as-yet-undisclosed location and will have $1 million on offer.

The BLAST Premier circuit underwent a major overhaul for 2021, offering direct qualification to the winners of a series of top events hosted by multiple organisers. Initially, the champions of Flashpoint 3 and 4 were supposed to qualify for the World Final, but those two places have now been allocated to the World Final leaderboard, a ranking system that factors in performances in a series of top-tier tournaments.

Heroic through to the BLAST Premier World Final

The qualification for the BLAST Premier World Final comes as a huge boost for Heroic, who are not a partner member of any Counter-Strike league. The Danish team, who spent three weeks at No.1 in the world rankings last fall, have not lost a match since signing Rasmus "sjuush" Beck and Ismail "refrezh" Ali in February, beating VOYVODA and Cloud9 in the DreamHack Masters Spring Closed Qualifier before going on an 8-0 run en route to the Pro League title.

Casper "cadiaN" Møller's troops are slated to play SAW on Thursday in the first round of the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown, which has two spots in the Spring Final up for grabs. This tournament will mark the beginning of a busy stretch for Heroic, who will also compete in the FunSpark ULTI Europe Final (April 19-26), DreamHack Masters Spring (April 29-May 9), and Flashpoint 3 (May 10-30).

Havu are a tier 2 team, sorry but they are not beating the likes of gambit or literally any other top 15 team.

If those new players will get more comfortable after winning EPL and start playing even better I think it's a good slot. Deserved. GL boys.
