MICHU set to join Evil Geniuses

The addition of the Pole to the North American team is imminent.

Evil Geniuses is closing in on a deal with Michał "⁠MICHU⁠" Müller, who is set to be unveiled as their new fifth member, HLTV.org has learned. It is currently unclear whose spot he will be taking in the lineup, though rumors suggest that Tarik "⁠tarik⁠" Celik is the most likely candidate to leave the team.

MICHU was recently linked with OG before the international team signed Shahar "⁠flameZ⁠" Shushan from Endpoint. He has been without a team since February, when he left Envy after a year-long tenure with the North American organisation.

MICHU is back on a North American team

The rumor mill about MICHU's next destination has gone into overdrive after his agent revealed on Saturday that the player had begun "a new career chapter". MICHU is expected to make his debut in the FunSpark ULTI 2020 Europe Final on April 19-26, with the BLAST Premier Spring Final being the next tournament for the team currently ranked 14th in the world.

With the signing of MICHU, Evil Geniuses will have the following roster:

Yeah they can’t seem to understand just because you have Philippine descent, or German, polish, Turkish, whatever the fuck you may be or where your family is from, doesn’t mean that you are automatically Polish or Filipino. You may have that descent. Brehze is an American with Filipino descent, Stanislaw is a Canadian with polish descent, tarik is an American with Turkish descent. You would think it’s not that hard to understand but I guess it is.

No I agree with you. Tarik seems to be well liked from the general amount of the CSGO community from like the players like you or I to the pros. He’s a fun guy to watch. actually yes. usa's society is so unforgiving towards esports that its a miracle we even have more than 1 team in the top 30. there are many many players with the talent to make it in na but never can bc of the lack of tier 2 teams, lack of mentorship from experienced pros on lower tier teams, american society as a whole not accepting pro gaming as a career, and financial issues. most of these aspiring pros are either in high school and cant juggle both high school and pro matches or are in college and cant afford to gamble everything on esports. hiko is the only player ik that dropped out of college to gamble everything on cs, and it worked out for him bc he got picked up by big orgs (c9, then liquid). that just isnt possible nowadays since the only na teams youd want to be on is liquid and eg

Everyone just assumes tarik will goto valorant. I heard things he wanted to go full time content creator and streamer. I think that’s cool, would be bummed to see him switch though. The whole problem with NA to begin with is more players in the scene cared more about money then winning and it’s shown recently. He already makes good money from CS so I wonder how much they will pay him if he switches. I know the top Valorant teams won’t be able to keep those salaries that high forever though.

Good luck to Michu but sad if Turok ends up getting kicked. A very underrated player in our scene, does everything for the team by being a selfless entry, operating with inferior weapons while dropping his teammates and still maintaining decent stats. I would love to rather see Stan aka the most overrated IGL kicked and Turok as the new one, but i guess Valorant is imminent. GL to him in his future. Also, anyone got a clip to his whiff i heard about ? Wanna see which play is gonna result in ending his T1 CS career.

Damn, that's pretty sad. As a brazilian, I've always been a fan of him since 2016, way before I actually started playing csgo. He was the first youtuber to introduce me to CS and I've always watched his videos and matches since then. When he joined Mibr in 2018, I was so happy, the best Brazilian team was mixing up with my favourite player. Despite all the hate he got, I always supported him no matter what. I love seeing his passion and happiness in the game, the amount of dedication he puts in everything and how he is always a funny guy, even in the hard moments. If he leaves csgo to valorant, it will be a sad day.

Yeah, I thought they needed more time with the oBo move. They played really good vs Astralis and VP with oBo the first two days but took a mental toll loss after two 14-4 comebacks to not pull through. It looks promising, I hope he doesn’t switch, I don’t think he will. He seems motivated for CS and wants to win. He still got it and EG has the potential to go back to late 2019 form if they put it together. That’s good to hear though, and I heard about it from Richard Lewis I believe? And it was also traveling through the esea community.
