9z to miss first RMR tournament in South America

The fifth placed team in the closed qualifier, Furious, will take the spot.

9z are unable to return to South America in time to compete at CBCS Elite League Season 1, which kicks off on April 21, and will therefore miss out on the first South American RMR event.

The squad led by Bruno "bit" Lima had initially planned on returning to South America in time to play the RMR event after their participation at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown in Europe, but unable to find flights that would get them back home in time they have now been forced to forfeit their spot.

9z in Serbia, where they played BLAST Showdown from

The bad news for 9z comes at a particularly sweet moment in the team's history, as they recently made headlines by eliminating Vitality from BLAST Premier Spring Showdown in their opening best-of-three series before falling to Heroic in the second round.

The spot left open by 9z was given to Jonathan "JonY BoY" Muñoz's Furious, who finished the closed qualifier in fifth place, and they will be kicking off their tournament run against MIBR in the first round of the Swiss stage.

The CBCS Elite League Season 1 team list is now:

they would be a t4/5 team in Eu, but people think that winning a bo3 against a vitality in their worst form make them t2 in Europe lmfao

Playing with stand-in, and less than a week of prac against eu teams.. then playing a decent match against top 3 team RN ..i think at least they are better than SAW ..
2021-04-18 00:11
If you give them 1 or 2 weeks, i think they can be by endpoint level, so tier 2, and whit even more time who knows, they also said that no preparstion for vitality or heroic had been made because the stand-in, they needed to adjust the team.

Yhe, but I doubt 100% that both vitality and heroic studied them, when u are a new team playing against higher tier teams u can always upset, since the other team dont have enough info and games to study you know, I thnk they have some very talented players, but I cant see them t2 in Europe, maybbe with a year or more but atm... Cs in europe is too much competitive.

Bosnia has niko and hunter, and only niko is bigger than ur entire scene lmao. Portugal scene is worst than bosnia, but saw were top 23 like 2 weeks ago and fox has more Major participations and semi finals than your whole country put together lmfao

don't be toxic, they've good players and they're better than us, accept that, but with train and matches in like 2-3 months 9z can be a good 2/3 tier team of EU

Yo le noob, The exposure to the European public they got from this event is way worth missing out on an RMR (because they are already known in SA, and given the teams attending their chances of getting the only spot offered are more than slim). This is called marketing my dude.

The org owner is one of the most popular twitch streamers in the region. And 9z has serial teams in other esports. Money is not an issue.
