The Swedish organisation has parted ways with its players after funding dried up.

High Coast have announced the release of their remaining members following "recent financial setbacks" that prevented the organisation from continuing to support the team.

The news comes just two weeks after High Coast parted ways with their Dota 2 roster, citing "financial hit backs" as the primary cause. For Ben "⁠ben1337⁠" Smith and Josh "⁠PwnAlone⁠" Pigue, it marks the second time that they have been released from an organisation due to financial reasons after leaving New England Whalers in November for similar issues.

High Coast saw initial success with their signing as the team picked up a win in the Mythic Winter Cup at the start of the year, but they struggled to surpass Extra Salt and Bad News Bears in ensuing qualifiers and events, aside from a single ESEA Cash Cup victory over the latter team.

Peter "⁠ptr⁠" Gurney's side were able to claim revenge shortly afterwards and prevail in the playoffs ESEA Premier, leaving High Coast out of contention for an ESL Pro League spot.

Shortly after the end of the Premier season, Ian "⁠motm⁠" Hardy announced his departure from the lineup, and HLTV.org knows that Brandon "⁠bew⁠" Roberts and Rodrigo "⁠RCF⁠" Figueiredo, both of whom were on loan with High Coast, will not remain with the roster following the team's release.

On Sunday, Gage "⁠Infinite⁠" Green joined the team's ESEA roster, with coach Joseph "⁠Muenster⁠" Lima telling HLTV.org that they intend to play with the former Chaos player as well as with Jonathan "⁠djay⁠" Dallal while continuing to search for a fifth player.

NA is dead as fuck honestly. You can either play in Europe which only the best of NA can survive (Liquid, ES, EG) or enjoy being stuck in NA with barely any teams and no org support. Yikes. When Triumph pulls out NA CS will officially be dead

I’m not hating it’s literally facts wtf. What’s the NA CS scene? Triumph, BNB, and Pain? Teams below that are disbanding and getting dropped by their org. It’s not me hating it’s just what’s happening. That’s literally my point... the best in NA go to EU because it’s where everything is and it’s what they have to do in Covid world. But if you think they go to Europe because it’s “smaller” and “better balanced pings” instead of the fact that the pro CS scene is EU dominant... you’re very wrong lol. Why would the 95% of relevant EU teams all travel to NA versus having the 5% of relevant NA teams travel to EU? That would be brain dead. NA CS is dying, if Triumph leave the scene then what’s orgs are there to support the American teams in NA? Why do you think everyone’s going to Valorant? Leaf, Xeppaa, Floppy... even promising upcoming NA talents like these guys had to switch man because the NA scene has no support from orgs. Nobody wants to run an NA team at a loss when the scene is in shambles.
