mousesports announce secondary roster

The German organization is next in line to jump on the academy team train with the signing of a young composition.

mousesports have announced the creation of a new academy project called mouz NXT, which aims to develop the next generation of players. The young European roster will be coached by former Tricked in-game leader Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen.

The lineup comprises Polish duo Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek and Hubert "Szejn" Światły, who have been acquired by the German organization from Izako Boars, former Budapest Five AWPer Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás, and Jon "JDC" de Castro, who was last seen playing under the Unicorns of Love banner in 2020.

sycrone will coach the new academy roster

The last piece is 16-year-old Israeli player Dorian "xertioN" Berman, the youngest and least experienced member of the mouz NXT team, who most notably briefly represented KPI last year.

"Our program serves a clear purpose: to establish the next generation of players," mousesports' CEO, Stefan Wendt, said in the announcement video. "We will provide our new team with the best conditions and help them unleash their full potential."

mouz NXT consist of the following five players and coach:

Germany Jon "JDC" de Castro
Poland Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek
Poland Hubert "Szejn" Światły
Hungary Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás
Israel Dorian "xertioN" Berman

Denmark Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen (coach)

Currently joining FaZe only makes sense if you care about money and not tournament wins. And Ropz is still too young to just look for his monthly paycheck and stop carring about everything else.

Szejn and siuhy are from Izako Boars and pretty much carried them. JDC plays in FPL and used to be in Unicorns of Love. Presumably the IGL. I heard good things about him. xertioN is probably the most unknown one, he's a 16 year old Israeli kid who plays in FPL-C I think? torzsi is known for pretty much carrying Budapest 5, has some insane stats as the AWPer I have decent enough faith in mouz's talent scouts for picking these players. So yeah, it's a pretty decent team on paper.

So curious to see how CSGO is a fad-based system... maybe it's all esports? I only follow CS closely, but anyway. Exercises makes players better even though there is no evidence of that? Put them into the gym! 6 man roster? Yes, let's all do it even though the logic is not really there... and now let's all sell them! Israel? That country exists? Let's go find talent there! Academy squads are somehow not conflict of interest anymore even though as recently as 2020 Valve was making a fuss about them? Let's go! It's sorta sad, but it makes sense.

What the fuck are you saying? "Exercises makes players better even though there is no evidence of that? Put them into the gym!" How do you know that there's no evidence? You do realise that these teams hire professional sports psychologists right? The exercise is there for a reason. It could be because it's a way for team bonding, or for relieving stress or whatever. It worked for Astralis so how can you so confidently say it doesn't work? "6 man roster? Yes, let's all do it even though the logic is not really there... and now let's all sell them!" The logic was there but it was poorly executed by the first team that tried to do it (Astralis) when teams like Vitality made full advantage of it by swapping in players who specialised on specific maps. The only reason they stopped it is because Valve wouldn't allow it majors. "Israel? That country exists? Let's go find talent there!" The fuck you saying? How is this country specific? Talent is talent. It just so happens that Israel has young rising stars that are getting recognised and picked up. "Academy squads are somehow not conflict of interest anymore even though as recently as 2020 Valve was making a fuss about them? Let's go!" Conflict of interests only exist if they're actually playing against each other. How many events can you name recently that had Na'Vi, Astralis or NiP have their teams playing against their main squad? None of those academy teams are in contention to playing in the major anyway so it doesn't matter. "It's sorta sad, but it makes sense." No, you don't make sense at all.

This is supposed to be a team for young players yet Bymas and Frozen are younger and play the official team. This shows how confident the org is about Bymas future

Love an org that has hope for future cs and continue investing resources in it respect to mouz
2021-06-19 00:14
nice but torzsi deserves better imo
2021-06-19 00:47
Im guessing when they lose ropz they don't want to buy out a replacement so they'll promote someone from this academy team

Actually good academy roster. Siuhy and Szejn already proved with their games in Izako Boars that they have potential to be good players, Torszi very good awper, and idk about Jdc (except fpl) and Xertion, but we will see in incoming games. Im definitely looking forward to see what these players together can offer

Idk about JDC. Like you have a very experienced ChrisJ, who is currently benched, but you take a no experienced player? Why don't you make ChrisJ a IGL, which will lead young players to glory?

Pretty sure Chris wouldn't be interested in that, he still wants to compete tier 1
