Fragadelphia 15 announced with $35,000 prize pool
The Philadelphia-based event will be the culmination of a circuit of tournaments that mark the return of LANs in North America.
Fragadelphia, in partnership with Nerd Street Gamers, have announced the return of their staple offline tournament in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where a minimum prize pool of $35,000 will be on offer. The tournament will accommodate up to 64 teams, with sign-ups also contributing in part towards increasing the overall prize pool.
The event, which in the past has offered a proving ground for upcoming North American talent, last took place in December 2019, and was won by a mix-team featuring the former Cloud9 trio of Ricky "floppy" Kemery, Josh "oSee" Ohm, and Ian "motm" Hardy, as well as Anthony "vanity" Malaspina and Erick "Xeppaa" Bach, who would later go on to unite on Chaos.
Leading up to Fragadelphia 15, which will run from September 10-12, Nerd Street Gamers will host four other LAN events spread out across the United States, which will cover entry fees for Fragadelphia 15 as well as offer up to $2,000 in travel assistance, depending on the number of teams signed up.
