Imperial announce horvy signing
This will be the 22-year-old's first Brazilian team since late 2019.
Imperial have completed the signing of former Immortals and INTZ member João "horvy" Horvath, the Brazilian organisation announced on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old joins an Imperial squad that is in the process of rebuilding after a turbulent end to the tournament season. The team had to do without the services of Caio "zqkS" Fonseca in the cs_summit 8 qualifiers after he was denied entry into Mexico, and enlisted the services of two-time Major winner Fernando "fer" Alvarenga for the final leg of the season.

horvy enjoyed some time in the limelight between 2017 and 2019. He competed in Europe with Portuguese side k1ck and in North America as part of Immortals and INTZ. After leaving Reapers in late 2019, he returned to Europe and went on to play for teams like Baecon, Real Betis and Rhein Neckar, with limited success.
"I worked really hard during these two years to get the opportunity to play for a Brazilian team again," horvy told HLTV.org. "I really missed the atmosphere and the energy that Brazilian teams have."
Imperial added that they will soon announce a new fifth player to replace Arthur "f4stzin" Schmitt, whose future is up in the air. The Brazilian organisation is also on the lookout for a new coach for the team following Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu's departure to Complexity last week.
"It really makes me happy that someone like peacemaker recognised that I was ready for this opportunity," horvy said. "I believe it was his final act as Imperial coach [laughs]."
With horvy's addition, Imperial now have:
Caio "zqkS" Fonseca
Gustavo "SHOOWTiME" Gonçalves
Cristopher "ckzao" Chalus
João "horvy" Horvath
