European Development Championship 5 group stage teams locked in

The 16-team event is due to start on August 18, with teams across Europe competing for a share of $30,000.

The European Development Championship Season 5 will feature 13 invited teams as well as three additional teams who achieved spots through various qualifiers. The group stage will be played in four double-elimination (GSL) style groups and is set to kick off in just under a week.

The winning team of the event will pocket $17,500 in the grand final, set to be played on September 5, and also be given the opportunity for a bootcamp in Malta.

ztr's Young Ninjas are among the teams invited to EDC 5

One of the teams invited is Young Ninjas, the academy squad that recently finished second in the WePlay Academy League Season 1. Despite losing Linus "LNZ" Holtäng to the main Ninjas in Pyjamas team, the squad has been moving from strength to strength in 2021 and looks to continue doing so here.

K23 is also invited and, unlike the Young Ninjas, boast an experienced lineup with the likes of Dauren "AdreN" Kystaubayev and Rustem "mou" Telepov, both former Major champions. Having recently come off the back of a fourth place finish in the CIS RMR, K23 are one of the highest ranked teams at this event at 30th alongside AGO and DBL PONEY.

Why you think like that ? I'm sure you have never been part of pro; competition and u will never know how is to be there, but still what if bookies arent informing you correct ? Dont blame players, blame bookies sometimes. I dont bet on CS matches, i bet on football/tennis matches not to often, but i can see still there are so much uncorrect quotes those last 4-5 years like never before ex1 - hltv.org/matches/2350318/heroic-vs-bad-n.. For example, how Heroic can be 1.1 versus BNB, when Heroic is dissaster last time, and BNB got 6 wins in a row and playing decent ? Atleast Heroic 1,40 or everything else is fraud in my opinion

Yes u have to be a big degenerate to bet on Heroic 1.1, they should win ofc but never worth betting those odds! I bet tennis too and having watched tier 2/3 cs for 1.5 years it is clownfiesta so that’s why I say don’t bet this tournament!!

Atleast romanian teams had to play in qualifiers to qualify, they didn't get directly invited. Infinite beat finest in a bo3 for the spot, Mouz nxt maybe didn't want to play, they focus on weplay lan tournament.
