ENCE overcome Astralis 2-0 in ESL Pro League Season 14
Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer and his men remain competitive in Group A after defeating the Danes.
Astralis were not able to capitalize on their great start on the opening day of ESL Pro League Season 14, when they beat Spirit to set themselves up for a fight at the top of the group, as they have fallen to ENCE in the second Group A match-day while Vitality secured their second victory earlier in the day.
ENCE putting the pressure on Astralis came as a surprise after the results from the first day of play, as the European combine were in control throughout the series. They did not allow the Danes double digits on Ancient, winning it 16-9, and kept Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander and his men from taking control on the CT side of Nuke to deny any attempt at a comeback, closing the map out 16-11 to bag the series.
The final match of the day will pit Heroic and Spirit, with Casper "cadiaN" Møller and company hoping to follow in the footsteps of Vitality to place themselves in a strong position at the top of the group following Astralis’ slip-up, while the squad led by Leonid "chopper" Vishnyakov will fight to join the pack with a 1-1 record.

The European squad didn’t fret and picked Ancient as their home map in the series despite Astralis showing strength on the newest map in the pool with a big 16-7 victory in yesterday’s opening match against Spirit. ENCE looked shaky out of the gate giving up their early lead on the attacking side to a second-round forcebuy, but quickly recovered to establish their presence and hit double digits at the switch.
Astralis tried to regain their footing on the attack, taking the first three rounds of the second half, but ENCE didn’t buckle with Joonas "doto" Forss and Olek "hades" Miskiewicz at the helm to close out the map comfortably, 16-9.
ENCE brought their momentum to Nuke, taking a 7-2 lead before Astralis could finally link a handful of rounds that led to nearly taking the lead at the half, although it was Lotan "Spinx" Giladi and company who were able to take it by a narrow 8-7 margin.
hades continued to shine in the series as ENCE got off to a flying start on the attack, taking the first pistol round and following it up all the way to a 13-7 lead with the whole team firing on all cylinders, but it was his countryman Paweł "dycha" Dycha with back-to-back multi-kills in the last two rounds of the series that sealed the deal for his team, 16-11.
