Malta Vibes Knockout Series 2 teams announced

The $50,000 single elimination event will feature teams from around the world.

The participants for the next Malta Vibes Ultimate Knockout Series were announced today, with 32 teams participating in stage one, the top eight of which will advance to face the eight teams directly seeded into stage two. The event, which uses a single elimination best-of-three format, will take place September 13-23 and features a $50,000 prize pool.

Stage one features academy teams such as a mouz NXT and Young Ninjas fresh off their first and second place finishes respectively at the WePlay Academy League finals, Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquists' GORILLAZ team, Mathias "⁠MSL⁠" Lauridsen's new project South, and most notably the new Turkish super team Eternal Fire.

Seeded straight into stage two are teams like ENCE, who as the announcement was made were kicking off their ESL Pro League playoffs campaign, Entropiq who won this event last time around, and 00Nation who will be making only their second appearance under their new banner.

These online tournaments should be restricted - not because of matchfixing, rigged or something just because teams aren't giving their best while playing it. Look how SKADE last 2 days is playing versus Tier1 teams (BIG & Spirit) and SKADE versus teams like Lyngby Vikings & k23 for example
