Complexity confirm coldzera signing
Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke will miss a couple of extra months of play before returning.
Marcelo "coldzera" David has officially joined Complexity, the team confirmed on Thursday, filling in for the injured k0nfig. The move confirms a previous report made by Dexerto, which said that the Brazilian star would step into the lineup starting at BLAST Premier Fall.
coldzera joins Complexity on a free transfer, as his former contract with FaZe has ended. The 26-year-old player will stay on with the Benjamin "blameF" Bremer-led lineup through at least the Major in November, even if k0nfig has recovered by that time.
After the BLAST Premier Groups later in September, Complexity is set to play in IEM Fall, which will be their only hope of qualifying for the PGL Major. It is not currently known whether coldzera will remain on Complexity after the Major, assuming k0nfig is able to return to the roster.
In a statement on Twitter, Complexity general manager Graham "messioso" Pitt explained that the team wants to "provide the remaining roster a stable and consistent line up." This resulted in COL looking for a more long-term solution to ensure that k0nfig had no pressure to return until he was ready.
coldzera coming into the lineup will see the end of Niels Christian "NaToSaphiX" Sillassen's stint with Complexity after the Dane stepped in for them at ESL Pro League Season 14, with the team making the playoffs.
Here is Complexity's lineup going into the BLAST Fall Groups:
Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu (coach)
Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke (medical leave)
