IEM Fall invites revealed

The current standings of the Regional Major Rankings in all regions decided most of the teams invited.

ESL have announced the full list of invited teams to all six upcoming Regional Major Ranking tournaments, which will run under the IEM Fall banner and serve as the final chance for teams to earn points determining the participants of PGL Major Stockholm.

The current standings of the RMR were prioritized to determine invites both to the main events and to the respective closed qualifiers, with a few more teams filling in the qualifying stage based on the ESL Ranking.

NIP currently lead the European standings

Open qualifiers, from which the remaining teams taking part in the closed stage will come, are currently underway in most of the regions. Europe has nearly all teams locked in with the final open tournament coming to an end, while the other regions still have at least one more tournament left to be played before reaching the closed qualifier.

Below you can find the teams who are confirmed to participate in each IEM Fall main event and closed qualifier at the moment after the invites were revealed:

ofc they have the ability to do so but banning someone is a hard punishment and you need definitive evidence for it, or you could potentially ban innocent people imagine they just banned flusha because people suspected he was cheating

Valves cares as much about CS:GO as the American presidents care about the people of the US. No real control, and no real motive or will to invest anything that isn't absolutely necessary, but with the ultimate executive power.

What an absurd comparison, if american presidents truly didn't care about their people, they would be still fighting in Afghanistan. Just a fresh example for u. I mean, i live in a post-soviet country, ik what it is when president doesn't care about his people, believe me.

It has been known for quite a long time that the devs in Valve are able to switch between different games. There isn't a fixed team of devs, besides certain people who have a particular, important role.

Former devs have mentioned that the Source engine is a mess of code as it has been built on since the original GoldSrc engine in 1998. I'd imagine they are both too afraid to make changes that breaks the game, and/or just unable to do it in the first place. I don't think it's because they don't like it or anything like that. It's an important game to them in a lot of ways.

this is bullshiet that ESL ranking is what determines teams which compete for the spot at major tbh. I dont hate this team, they are really interesting, just think it is unreasonable, and as a new squad they should make they way through open quals, they would probably qualify anyway

Well, 11 teams qualify for the major (from EU) and right now the 11th placed team is Sprout with 480 points. Honestly if a team with 0 points finishes 7th or higher in the fall event, they probably have a 50/50 chance to qualify, maybe more, check liquipedia

No disrespect to the EF guys, but their invite is a joke ESL need to do something with carrying over points in their system. Currently if any of the players from top 3 teams quit and got 4 of their friends - they'd instantly get an invite to ESL Pro League. If, for example, b1t left Na'Vi to join some unknown CIS team - they'd rank #9 in ESL ranking right off the bat. It's hypothetical (but not impossible, like you see with Xantares), but if your system allows something like this to happen, it's simply broken.

Because ESL ranking sucks, FNC with decent form (they beat some legit teams) is ranked #51, Eternal is ranked #22, new team, lost a bo3 to unknown Macedonian team and got destroyed by Sinners (2-16), Sinners (in a decent shape) are ranked #28.
