Rejin makes return as Entropiq Prague analyst

Allan "Rejin" Petersen landed an analyst job in the Czech team after a brief spell as a free agent.

Entropiq have announced the addition of former mousesports coach Rejin. Currently banned by ESIC until May 2022 for exploitation of the coaching bug and unable to take part in official matches in ESIC member as well as Valve-sponsored events, the Dane will undertake the role of the analyst in the organization's Czech division.

The new job will see the 33-year-old return behind a team after he parted ways with MAD Lions in July following a five-month stint as the organization's manager and one of the main people behind the creation of their new international project. Before that, Rejin was the coach of MOUZ for a year and a half until he was released from the German organization following his ban.

Rejin has joined Entropiq Prague in an official capacity after a month-long trial, which he says has helped him realize the language barrier would not cause a major obstacle. Although he does not speak Czech much himself, the Dane has been living in the Czech Republic for the past two years with his family.

Rejin is back in action after leaving MAD Lions in July

"I had a few offers from really interesting organizations, but me being close to home, I have a son coming here in November, it made sense to stay here in the Czech Republic," the former coach said in a video interview.

"In the end it's also the professionalism that Entropiq showed me when I first arrived. I came and all the talks just blew my mind, and I didn't expect that because I didn't know much about Entropiq beforehand."

In the interview, Rejin also spoke about his role in the team and how the ban affects what he can do.

"I was hired as an analyst and not the coach. It's very important to make that distinction because I'm not going to be able to help the guys in official matches," he explained. "I'm only going to help them improve by analyzing the demos, analyzing the opponents, and of course helping out when they practice as much as I can."

The addition of someone with a wealth of experience from the world stage will come as a big boost to Entropiq Prague, who have been competing at a high level locally but lack results in international tournaments, having placed 22nd in ESEA Advanced Season 37.

They underwent a few changes lately, parting ways with their coach, Jozef "d0di" Kiss, and AWPer, Lukáš "capseN" Koláčný. Since late August, the team have been playing with Simon "KWERTZZ" Horák on a trial basis, while Josef "MoriiSko" Maurenc has taken over the AWPing duties.

With the new setup, the team most recently placed second in one of the biggest local leagues, Tipsport COOL Liga Season 10, after losing to Enterprise in the grand final. Next they will set their sights on their campaign in REPUBLEAGUE TIPOS Season 2, where they will play in Group D featuring MIBR, LDLC, and ECLOT, kicking off on October 11.

Entropiq Prague's lineup is the following:

Czech Republic Michal "leckr" Kadlíček
Czech Republic Filip "AJTT" Dolenský
Czech Republic Jan "HONES" Urválek
Czech Republic Josef "MoriiSko" Maurenc
Czech Republic Simon "KWERTZZ" Horák (trial)

Denmark Allan "Rejin" Petersen (analyst)

"and this analyst bs shouldn't be allowed when it clearly is ban avoiding"? Huh? He is not avoiding his ban? lol. Again: Entropiq Prague will not attend a major soon, probably never tbh, he is just their analyst. He will analyze their previous matches and help them solve problems etc, not coach them. He is banned as a coach from all Valve sponsored events aka the major and banned for 1½ years or so from ESIC.

Valve can't dictate who works for what teams. They can't keep players and coaches from speaking to whoever they want in private settings. They can ban a person from attending a tournament, sure, but they couldn't possibly keep people physically apart or prevent them from communicating in other ways.

Pita??? the guy literally admitted he abused it. As for Guerri he made up a bunch of excuses when the video footage is very fucking clear him moving around the camera using the glitch. Not to mention twista was one of the ones abusing it the most hence why he completely vanished from the scene

But seriously that's the reason why dislike this org so much... Just a big 'brand' making... "Oh our Czech roster kinda sucks..." "F*ck it, let's just buy established top20 team yay" "Well but we can't kick them, yo let's make them 'academy' team." "Not much of a results... hmm let's make roster change." "Hmm let's buff them a bit... How about ex-mouz coach? Oh that'll come cheap cuz hes banned, yea so we make him analyst" "Yay ez win"
2021-09-20 20:21
3 replies
I'm not sure how any of what you said makes the org so unlikeable, is it just the fact that they jumped at multiple exciting international opportunities? They gave a home to a top 20 team who was struggling to find support elsewhere, which makes complete sense for anyone who is looking to have a presence worldwide. And they got an analyst with experience from a world-class team to support the lineup you called an academy team, which is basically unheard of on a local level and is bound to improve the Czech division. Why is any of that bad?
2021-09-21 12:17
2 replies
I mean it's cool they went international. I just felt bad for the czech guys getting push aside. I might have expressed to harshly perhaps. Rejin is obvioulsy great addition, which will surely imprve them. I'd rather see them break through (like Sinners did which is obviously rare example) lets say top50 however I understand players/talent is quite limited on cz/sk scene :( Ale díky za zpětnou vazbu :)
2021-09-22 11:17
1 reply
We'd all love our local teams to break through internationally, but the fact is only few can, especially when you already have another team from the same country there. If anything, the fact that they just hired Rejin speaks to how Entropiq didn't just push the Czech team aside and want to make them better even though they have a top 20 team.
