NAVI secure spot in Fall Final after beating Complexity

Benjamin "blameF" Bremer's squad drop to the lower bracket of Group C.

Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and co. have secured their spot at BLAST Premier Fall Final after defeating Complexity 2-1 in the Group C upper bracket. The international mix surprised with a great performance on Ancient, dominating Natus Vincere on their own map pick, but were unable to carry that momentum into Nuke.

Complexity will face the winner of OG vs FaZe on Sunday to decide the last team that will advance to the Fall Final, which will take place in the Royal Arena in Copenhagen in late November.

s1mple played a great CT side on Nuke

The series started with a close first half on Overpass as Complexity were able to go toe-to-toe with Natus Vincere with a convincing offense. In the end, however, Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov's squad narrowly closed the half ahead 8-7 thanks to a great series of B holds from Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy.

Natus Vincere looked more comfortable on the T side as they consistently cracked Complexity's B bombsite thanks to the efforts of Perfecto and Denis "electronic" Sharipov. The CIS squad only dropped three rounds in their offense on their way to secure the map 16-10.

Natus Vincere's surprise pick of Ancient did not go according to plan. The CIS squad looked lost in their offense, rarely being able to find advantages and often failing to close rounds when ahead. The 12-3 half was marked by a great performance from Patrick "es3tag" Hansen, as his exemplary defense of the A bombsite was key for Complexity's success.

There were no surprises in the second half as Complexity cruised through their T side, losing only one round before closing Ancient 16-4.

Nuke's first half saw blameF's squad take the initial lead before conceding seven consecutive rounds to Natus Vincere. Complexity executed a small comeback, equalizing 7-7, but a 1v2 clutch by Valeriy "B1T" Vakhovskiy secured the half-time advantage for his team. NAVI maintained their perfect record on Nuke over the last four months after cruising through their CT side, comfortably holding off Complexity before closing the map 16-9 and the series 2-0.

He has not been a part of the tier 1 scene for long but for that amount of experience winning the IGS and multiple events , i think he is doing a great job Its silly to question his abilities right now Navi's project has come out being successful now , they can focus more as a team
2021-09-26 06:42
inconsistent, with 5 hp in close position with galil in super important round killed 100 hp and twice top 1 opponent in 1v1 situation inconsistent af... and you are STUPID AF

2021-09-25 20:48
loss on purpose, for the statistics so the teams that are playing Ancient pick more into it and get traped in matches where it matters the most.

Interesting: two players from Complexity had better rating than any Navi player and they still lost. This happens quite rarely, right?

I was surprised at first as well. CoL players have more frags, yet they still lost. Turns out it has to do with Navi really underperforming on Ancient and barely fragging, but dojng much better on the other 2 maps.
2021-09-25 20:36
On the end of the game, the teams got almost the same number of total rounds
2021-09-25 22:04
because of statpadding on Ancient just look at every individual map, most of it comes from there

Wow really amazing staff from Complexity, beating FaZe 2-0 and now beating NaVi 16-4 on their map pick? Really cool to see, NaVi was a better team here but coL played surprisingly well. This roster really has potential. I'm excited about them in the future.
