ENCE move on to IEM semi-finals over G2 and lock in Major spot
With the quarter-finals now complete, ENCE have moved on to the semi-finals over G2 after trading map picks and closing the series in overtime on Dust2. Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer's squad will face off with Astralis, while G2 hold on to their hopes of claiming Legends status in the 5th-8th decider bracket.
ENCE comfortably won Mirage and Paweł "dycha" Dycha proved to be a problem for G2. Nikola "NiKo" Kovač and Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač kept the series alive on Nuke, but things fell apart for G2 in the second overtime on Dust2.
ENCE put the pressure on G2 early as they took a lead in the first half of Mirage. Snappi and company denied any chance for G2 in the second half, only giving up one round before locking down the map 16-8.
huNter- and NiKo replied on Nuke with a commanding CT half worth 13 rounds to make sure their chances in the series stayed alive. ENCE had no answers and after losing the map 16-7, only Dust2 remained.
The Polish duo dycha and Olek "hades" Miskiewicz topped the scoreboard on Dust2 as they held off G2, and ENCE took the early lead on at the half with 10 rounds. ENCE held on despite NiKo's best effort to keep the map alive in a double overtime where ENCE managed to take it 22-18 and secure their position in Stockholm.
