Spirit transfer-list mir, chopper
The Russian duo will be moved to the bench ahead of DreamHack Open November.
Russian IGL Leonid "chopper" Vishnyakov and rifler Nikolay "mir" Bityukov have been moved to the bench and transfer-listed ahead of the team's venture at DreamHack Open November, Spirit have announced on Twitter.
For the upcoming event, the void left by two long standing members of the team will be filled by young IGL Robert "Patsi" Isyanov from Spirit Academy and 17-year old rifler Aleksandr "KaiR0N-" Anashkin coming from free agency.
The changes come after a disappointing showing at the PGL Major in Stockholm where the team failed to reach the Legends Stage after dropping games to FaZe, Virtus.pro, and Astralis, exiting the tournament with a 2-3 record.
chopper joined Spirit shortly after parting ways with Vega Squadron in February of 2019 and has been leading the Russian squad ever since. He helped the team come out victorious from DreamHack Open January 2021 Europe and Pinnacle Cup II as well as securing a top-4 finish at IEM Katowice 2021.
Meahwile, mir joined the squad in September 2019 after spending more than four months on Gambit's bench. The 25-year old accumulated a 1.20 rating over the 25 months spent with the organization and was widely considered one of the best performing members of the squad.
