Wisla Krakow win ESL Polish Championship Autumn

The Poles secured spots at the IEM Katowice 2022 Play-In as well as the upcoming ESL Pro League Conference.

Wisla Krakow became ESL's Polish Champions on Tuesday when they came out on top in the four-team ESL Polish Championship Autumn LAN in Katowice, Poland.

The finals were played between the top two teams from the regular season, HONORIS and Anonymo, along with the third and seventh placed teams, Wisla Krakow and PACT, who made their way to the offline event via a play-in among the third to eighth-placed teams in the league.

Wisla Krakow now have a shot at reaching IEM Katowice and Pro League

The LAN's single-elimination bracket was a cutthroat affair which saw the second seed, Anonymo, immediately knocked out by Wisla Krakow before Grzegorz "SZPERO" Dziamałek and company took out Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas and Filip "NEO" Kubski's squad in the grand final to secure victory in a three-map series.

The top two performers at the LAN ended up being from the Krakow-based squad, Krzysiek "Goofy" Gorski and Grzegorz "jedqr" Jędras, with the former topping the charts after six maps averaging an impressive 1.30 rating.

The title puts Wisla Krakow alongside TYLOO and Renegades in the running for IEM Katowice 2022, as they will play the tournament's preamble, the play-in, in February 2022.

The Poles will also have a shot at making ESL's flagship league through ESL Conference later in November, going up against a slew of other national champions and DreamHack Open winners such as LDLC, Eternal Fire, GODSENT, Renegades, Sharks, Endpoint or Anonymo, the latter having made it by winning ESEA Premier.

The ESL Polish Championship Autumn Finals standings are:

1. Poland Wisla Krakow - $12,560 + IEM Katowice 2022 Play-In, ESL Pro League Season 15 Conference
2. Poland HONORIS - $6,280
3-4. Poland PACT - $3,140
3-4. Poland Anonymo - $3,140

No. They just got slapped around by esea Advanced team for funspark. People don't wanna see the legends of the game get embarrassed

I can agree with you. It's not like about giving invites people for their previous merits. But at the same time... the score was close and I don't see their beaters as a better team, so it was a bit of, you know, call for action from my heart :)

I see what you mean. But i watched the match live game wasnt even close. A lot of rounds lost when other team did something kinda dumb. Taz had 2 kills on the first map bro 2 kills

uh, that's sounds bad. I don't know, do they actually practice (I mean the old boys) or it's just the difference in reaction that comes with your age? I'm also an old wheel, but when I play regularly and warm up hardly before important games it's not so hard to shoot so I suppose it's all about making fast and unpredictable decisions what is easier when you for example 19. Cuz what I see now, even when pro player is more like 26 years it's so harder for him to be at the top. Maybe only f0rest is an exception.

Idk i think if you are old and still putting same hours as if you were teenagers (12hrs a day) It should be the same. It is just that old guys usually have family and kids so they cant sit behind computer all day. Fallen is i think kinda old but still one of the best player here so idk man

That is my point too. It's all about practice and putting hours. And also they think they can use their experience instead of DM for example. But eventually you're gonna be wrecked by some 'noob' who can shoot faster (especially in csgo). So yeah, I guess in the end it's all about motivation in general

Great final, deserved victory for Wisła, they looked really good on the 3rd map, I'm incredibly happy that we will have a chance to have a team from Poland at IEM Katowice, it also feels great that we can potentialy have even 3 teams in the next season of EPL, that's just so exciting, GGWP, deserved victory!

nm man just been working and ESEA banned me for backing up Donald Trump for 100 years. They a bunch of liberal democrats over there who are prejudice to anyone who doesn't believe in their own political views and if you don't agree with them they ban you/silence you and if you try to stand up for yourself they just ban you. They really care about the NA cs community... lol
