Spirit put sdy on the transfer list
The Russian organization is ready to overhaul its CS:GO team going into the new year.
Following in the path of Nikolay "mir" Bityukov and Leonid "chopper" Vishnyakov, who were put on the transfer list ahead of DreamHack Open November, Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev has now joined them on the bench as the most recent player from the Russian organization to be put on the transfer list.
The benching of the core of Spirit means the Russian organization will now seek to fully rebuild their Counter-Strike division, where they still have the likes of Boris "magixx" Vorobiev and Abdul "degster" Gasanov under contract.
During his tenure in Spirit, which goes back to 2018, sdy helped the team win several lower tier cups, as well as the first CIS Regional Major Ranking tournament, ESL One: Road to Rio - CIS and DreamHack Open January. He also helped the team reach several finals and deep runs at events like DreamHack Open November 2020 and IEM Katowice 2021.
He also played in Big Events, at StarSeries i-League Season 7 and IEM Cologne 2021, and has three Majors' Challengers Stages under his belt: FACEIT Major London, IEM Katowice 2019 and the recently concluded PGL Major Stockholm.
sdy's listing in the market comes after a failed run at DreamHack Open November, where the team played with Robert "Patsi" Isyanov and Aleksandr "KaiR0N-" Anashkin but weren't able to win a single match in their last place finish.
The 24-year-old, who states he decided to part ways with the team after not being able to see eye to eye with the organization in regards to the future, will play his last event with the Spirit jersey at the Red Bull Flick 2vs2 tournament in Helsinki, after which he is open to join other teams, including a move to an international squad based in Europe.
Spirit's roster going into the shuffle is:
Nikolay "Certus" Poluyanov (coach)
