Malta Vibes Knockout Series 4 team list revealed

40 teams battle it out in a best-of-three single elimination bracket.

The participants for the next Malta Vibes Knockout Series were announced today, with 32 teams participating in stage one, the top eight of which will advance to face the eight teams directly seeded into stage two. The event, which uses a single elimination best-of-three format, will take place November 29-December 9 and features a $50,000 prize pool.

Much like previous Malta Vibes Knockout Series events the team list features a range of names from across the world, from academy squads to veterans of the scene.

Copenhagen Flames grace the event as the highest ranked team

A few standout names featuring in stage one include an Enterprise squad fresh off an impressive run at V4 Future Sports Festival, Turkish super team Eternal Fire, and the MOUZ NXT side that recently won their second WePlay Academy League title.

Joining the event in round two are names such as recent Major attendees and world #11 Copenhagen Flames, Swedish veterans Dignitas, and a MAD Lions roster coming off the back of a 3rd place finish at DreamHack Open November.

You would hope that MOUZ NXT is invited to Stage 2 over the likes of HAVU, Dignitas and BLINK, considering they're a top 30-ish team and have 2-0'd at least two of them.

There is a ranking system for the stage two invites, its not hltv ranking
2021-11-25 17:11

It's not even the HLTV ranking alone that should justify an invite, they literally placed top 3/4 in the last Malta Vibes event. Combined with recent results, that should warrant a direct invite to the second stage over some of the other teams.

"hey literally placed top 3/4 in the last Malta Vibes event" good, but only 1 event.. the other teams have most likely done better "Combined with recent results" dosent really matter.. Plus they have only just got into top 30, so the invites have been out for mabye 2-3 weeks.

"good, but only 1 event.. the other teams have most likely done better" BLINK has gone 17th-24th in the two Malta Vibes they have participated in. Havu has never participated in a Malta Vibes tournament and has yet to place higher than 3rd/4th in months. Dignitas' last Malta Vibes tournament, they went 9th-16th and have done pretty terribly in tier 2/3 tournaments for the entire year, with not a single win. MOUZ NXT have placed 3rd/4th in both Pinnacle and the last Malta Vibes tournament, on top of winning the Academy League LAN again. That is already better than the teams I've just mentioned. "Plus they have only just got into top 30, so the invites have been out for mabye 2-3 weeks." But they still placed top 3/4 in the last Malta cup which should've been enough to warrant a direct invite to the 2nd stage. It makes no sense. Stop trying to justify a shitty invite system.

BLAST at least has partner teams who we all know just buy their way in. This is just a bad invite system.

I think ECSTATIC takes this, they've been really impressive lately, but honestly I hope for a deep run from HONORIS, I think the changes are coming for the roster and it's really likely that either TaZ or NEO, or even both, are retiring soon, I just want to see them have a good run here. This project has been a big failure for those legends so far and it really makes me sad. Let's go HNRS!

I like what they did to Mouz NXT. instead of putting them to stage two, they put them into stage one which is a advantage for them. They can practice more by playing a lot of opponents. instead of waiting on stage two.
