cadiaN on Astralis matchup: "The winner is going to have bragging rights for months, maybe years"
We caught up with the Danish captain after Heroic beat Liquid to remain alive in Copenhagen.
Heroic are through to the lower bracket final in the Royal Arena after emerging victorious over Liquid in a three-map series, setting up an all-Danish derby against Astralis where everything will be on the line in front of 12,000 fans.

After the match, we spoke to Casper "cadiaN" Møller to get his thoughts on the match against Liquid, where Heroic fell to a comeback on Overpass before eventually taking the series, as well their upcoming battle against their countrymen on stage where the loser will be eliminated.
Starting with your match versus Liquid here, it got a little closer than you would've liked I'm sure. What happened with the comeback that Liquid pulled off on Overpass?
Our T side Overpass has been struggling a little bit recently, and that showed again today. A lack of getting good map control, or when we do it, we make it too obvious, use too many grenades, and we don't have enough for the execute.
Just the overall chemistry on T Overpass is not there as on the other maps, and it's weird because I think before this event we won seven out of eight on the map, so we'll need to work on that.
You've had a pretty tough path trying to make it deep in any BLAST event, you're not a partner team. What has the road in these events been like for you, ending in playing on the home stage here?
It's obviously amazing. As you said, it's not easy to come to the BLAST events, and maybe with the performance at this tournament and at the Major, and with the crowd going completely ham maybe they'll look into us as a partner team, who knows.
We'll have to figure it out in the future, but I definitely want to be a partner of this league. I think they're doing am amazing job on the stage, off the stage, and I appreciate being here.
You're next up against Astralis, the Danish derby as everyone is saying. For you, what does it mean going up against them on the home stage here?
It's spicy, it's very spicy. The loser is going to be insanely sad, and the winner is going to have the bragging rights not just for a few times, but for months, maybe years — who knows when we play under a circumstance like this again.
I'm sure you've taken a look at some of the matches they've played here, it's their first event with this roster. What do you make of their level so far?
Impressed by k0nfig. We know that he can do it, but he's really done it, and I think just overall they are a hard team for me to judge. On the right days, they could be the best in the world, but on other days I also see them being outside the top ten. There's a lot of what-if's, and if the what-if's go right, they'll be absolutely insane, and if not, then they will struggle.
What do you think of gla1ve's AWPing, is he trying to follow in your footsteps here with the Danish IGL and AWP?
Yeah maybe, I mean he's insanely smart, and if you're smart with the AWP you'll find some easy shots, and I've seen him hit those. He definitely has the potential to be a good one, but it's also a struggle, you can do it in the beginning and then people find out your tendencies and you have to improve, find new things again. But let's see, I think he's been doing a fine job so far, but we'll have to judge it after the event I guess.
Are you going to shut him down on stage?
Maybe.
