Really hoping that the crowdsourcing pays off for them. Unfortunately it looks like it might be needed getting started as a smaller organizer. I see larger organizers using this to cheap out on sponsorships and prize money for the events in the future.

Company selling digital items that is hosting their images through Imgur, seems very legit. For example the banner at "BUY TEAM CARDS" is uploaded in Imgur and embed from there: i.imgur.com/R7XMvmG.png EDIT: Also apparently the devs of this site don't know what lazyloading images is, so when you click the "Looking for a specific player? Search here" it will lag so fucking much because it's downloading all the cards at once. Looks like the whole thing is made by some 13 years old wannabe master hacker kiddo. EDIT2: Oh, actually they know how to partially load only some amount of content, but for some reason they download 30 cards at once, even tho you only see 8 of them at once. Still very poorly implemented stuff.

what´s "fire" about it? The fact that you are making the TO´s profit margin higher by giving them money? Fire indeed

let's do some math here... 15% goes to TO. 1 fantasy team is 10 dollars (2 dollars per card) i'm giving them less than a big mac, literally. and in return I support upcoming talent (prize pool) and enter a fantasy game where I have a chance to win 1k real euro. me, you, everyone spends 10 dollars on random bullshit that has less value than this. that's why I think this is cool and unique

No, you support the NFT/scam "playtoearn" bullshit company who organizes this event to further advetise their scamy bussines. What part of the "making their profit margin higher" did you not understand? Oh, almost as if there weren´t fantasy games you could win something ... for free. There even is the world, where one of them is on this very site. Giving them money to play "fantasy game," is a form of gambling (in fact it´s regulated as gambling in several states). You are literally thanking them that you can risk your own money, which includes literally lootboxes btw, for them to make profit. Congratz, perhaps you really are dumb. Also migh wanna get in touch with the real world, 10 dollars for big mac? lMAO.

1. please explain to me how NFTs are scams. 2. "almost as if there weren't fantasy games where you could win something for free" not 1k, I bet. 3. yes, it is gambling, and no I don't care. to buy crypto you have to verify you're 18 years old already. no kid is getting addicted to it. it's regulated as gambling? ok, it only benefits me, the consumer. if they don't pay up they're getting sued to shit. you're playing counterstrike, loot boxes were practically invented in this game, safe to say, 99% of the playerbase doesn't care. I want to risk my 10$ then it's my thing. I said I gave them 1.5$, which is a Big Mac (I don't actually know, I don't really eat at mcd's)

Yes, sure, NFTs are like Mona Lisa, they have real value (not only the hype that will die out sooner or later), most of them are totally not ever sold again bla bla bla Oh, so you didn´t even check HLTV´s fantasy league, but you are happy to put money into this bullshit. Lmfao Yeah, yeah, so they enabled you do gamble .. FIRE!!! Almost as if you could do that before with gambling sitest, even in the form of fantasy games (csgo fantasy etc.). FIREEEEEEEEEE. So lit! Mindblown No, you didn´t say that. And yes, you really should check up on the real world sometimes. Price of Big Mac is common knowledge as it should be. There is literally a popular theory built around it - McDonaldization
2021-12-01 21:21

the HLTV league prize is 10k for first place for the entire season, that is with assigning boosters roles etc. I personally hate boosters so I don't play it often or if I do, I play worst team loses. if you can point me to a site that does this kind of prize pools, for one event, without stupid boosters, then by all means go ahead. and maybe I phrased that wrong about the 1.5$. anyways my point is that this allows the tournament to host a little economy, and giving the VAST majority of the profits to pro players and fantasy players. I feel like you just saw NFTs and came straight to attacking this. why should I care about the price of an effing big mac?

How´s that better than actual TO´s, who are actually in the bussines of organizing tournaments, not advertising their NFT bullshit, so they actually pay the prize money out of their own pocket? How is that worse than creating a "fantasy league" (something you can literally play on mulitple owning sites) to a) save money b) push their NFT bullshit (which is why this fantasy league was created if you didn´t notice by now). How the hell does it matter where the money came from? If you want to support the orgs so much, send them money on paypal. If it´s about the gambling thing, gamble on an actual regulated gambling sites. If it´s about the prize pool - they could pay the it of their own pocket, easily. They chose not to, so you could pay it for them, and more importantly, because they can advetise their NFT bullshit through it. Congratz. Idk, same why would you care how much the milk costs. What´are the Oscars. Partly money thing, but more importantly, cultural one.
2021-12-01 21:32

being a TO was never profitable, it's a widely known fact. sure, they COULD pay huge prize money, and they COULD sponsor the fantasy, but why would they do that when they're already losing money. saying "what if they just gave free money lol" is kind of stupid. do you see any other TO giving fantasy pool money? exactly. without NFTs this is not financially viable. I support orgs already. I buy merch, I put their @ on Twitter, I sub/donate to pro streamers like nawwk, and I dropped 10$ on an NFT fantasy too. of course they're doing this to advertise their "NFT bullshit", like, yeah DUH I don't think they're doing it out of the goodness of their hearts. price of a big mac is culturally significant, are you a fakeflagging american by chance? and oscars have been a sham since forever

Some TO´s are actually profitable, those who aren´t are hoping to be profitable one day (as almost anything in esports). This company isn´t doing either. Yes, I don´t, and I am happy that other companies are not promoting self organized gambling presenting itself as a charitable game as a part of their event. That seems, frankly, disgusting to me. Yes, price of big mac, one of the biggest (if not the biggest) symbol of American capitalism is 100% culturally singificant. If you don´t think that, you are a fool. The Economist publishes the "Big Mac Index" annualy btw, and it´s also often used to evaluate exchange rates. So not only culturally relevant, economically as well.
2021-12-01 21:46
1 reply
it's not presenting as a charitable game wtf??? you have to be delusional to think that. there's a buy in, and there's a prize, there's nothing more straightforward than that. sorry but I still don''t see how the price of a big mac impacts me in any way. it's different in every country so why should it represent american culture? it makes no sense
