ECSTATIC and trace part ways

The Danish coach is now in the free-agent pool and looking for a new home.

ECSTATIC and Martin "trace" Heldt are no longer linked according to statements from the coach and the organization which have come just hours before the team is set to play the Malta Vibes Knockout Series 4 grand final.

In his parting announcement, the 31-year-old stated that he is now open to taking some analytical work while he finds "the perfect fit" as he hopes to go full-time and expand his coaching duties in the new year.

trace is looking for a full-time position going into 2022

Signed by the organization when they were still known as Lyngby Vikings in late September following a month-long trial period, the former mTw, SK and fnatic player turned coach helped the team break into the top 30 in the world ranking as well as winning Malta Vibes Knockout Series 3 and finishing second at Pinnacle Fall Series 2.

After the rebrand to ECSTATIC the team continued to show good form under trace, wininng Pinnacle Fall Series 3 and coming runners up at Funspark ULTI 2021 Europe Regional Series 4 while breaching the top 20 in the world ranking.

"We’ve been really happy having trace as a coach on the team, however, both trace and ECSTATIC have come to the conclusion that parting ways is the best option going forward" Thomas Sinding, ECSTATIC CEO, said.

"With his experience, he has had a significant impact on the team, both on and off the server. trace has furthermore been a genuinely amazing guy all around. We at ECSTATIC hope that trace will find a new home soon, where he can continue as a CS:GO coach for great teams in the years to come."

That's probably not the case. I guess they have some inside conflict because who would leave hours before final? I mean if he decided to leave/org decided to just get a better coach they would wait after for tournament to end

They weren't capable of offering him a fulltime contract. That's the reason for him leaving.

That's the reason why he left few hours before final? Why didn't he finish the tournament with a team like normal person and leave then?
