Apeks announce nawwk as second player of new roster
The former NIP member returns to activity after sitting on the bench for the majority of the year.
Apeks have announced the signing of Tim "nawwk" Jonasson. The AWPer joins Danish in-game leader Asger "AcilioN" Larsen during a rebuilding phase of the squad, which was initiated in the first half of November as the organization cut ties with four of their players, citing a need for a fresh start.
The 24-year-old Swede joins Apeks on a transfer from NIP, where he had been benched ever since the team made the blockbuster signing of Nicolai "device" Reedtz in late April. Since then the only officials on record that nawwk has played in were in August, when he helped POGGERZ win the Calyx Dune Cup Fall and qualify for BLAST Premier Showdown.

After an extended period on the sidelines, the AWPer returns eager to get up and running with his new team.
"I'm looking forward to starting playing again. It's been about 8 months since I played my last official game with NiP and sitting on the bench has both been a good and bad learning experience," nawwk said in a statement to Apeks.
"Starting from scratch will be a great feeling. It sure does mean we need to work a lot harder to get where we want to be, but it also brings a ton of motivation from every possible angle."
The new addition hinted at the remainder of the lineup as he said that all the players are coming from different teams. When asked about the rebuilding process and whether the organization has managed to line up any other players so far, however, Apeks Head of Esports, Anders Kjær, erred on the side of caution, as it seems that the contracts of the rest of the team are still yet to be inked.
"We have a clear vision of what we want our lineup to look like, but you never know for sure until everything is signed," Kjær shared. "We have narrowed it down to a few individuals for sure."
Apeks' roster now has:
Pål "Polly" Kammen (coach)
Contracts expire December 31
Dennis "dennis" Edman
Fredrik "FREDDyFROG" Gustafsson
Joakim "Relaxa" Gustafsson
Sander "Grus" Iversen
Martin "Nasty" Garvik (loaned to FOXED)
