ropz nears FaZe move - Report
ropz is close to finalizing a move to FaZe, according to a report by 1pv.fr and Dexerto. Previous rumors had said that the Estonian had been contemplating a move to one of FaZe or G2, and it appears that he has now made his choice.
Although ropz's current contract with MOUZ doesn't run out until later in the first quarter of 2022, the report states that the German organization and FaZe are undergoing talks over an earlier transfer, which should be inked during the winter off-season.
Should the deal be finalized, the Estonian lurker would replace Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer on the roster, marking an end to the Swede's long tenure with FaZe dating back to mid-2017. The 29-year-old veteran has been in and out of the team for the past three years as he repeatedly took time off from competing, with the latest stint lasting for six months.
A three-time top 20 player and a top 10 player of 2019 and 2020, ropz has been tipped to make a move to a bigger team for some time now. FaZe has always been at the forefront of candidates for his new home, not just due to their historic standing but also the connection to Finn "karrigan" Andersen, who played alongside the 21-year-old star in MOUZ for two years in 2019-2021.
