Vitality bid farewell to shox
The 29-year-old's time on the team comes to an end after over two years.
Vitality have announced the departure of Richard "shox" Papillon from their roster, bringing an end to his lengthy tenure as a part of the team during which he won a handful of notable events, including EPICENTER 2019, IEM Beijing 2020 Europe, BLAST Premier Fall 2020, and IEM Winter 2021.
The news comes as little surprise as Vitality were first reported to be parting ways with shox, Jayson "Kyojin" Nguyen Van, and Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam in early November as they overhaul their roster heading into 2022, going the international route with the additions of Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, Emil "Magisk" Reif, and Danny "zonic" Sørensen.

Despite being a dead roster for their final three events of the year, Vitality had a resurgent performance, finishing as the runner-ups to Natus Vincere at the BLAST Premier Fall Final, winning IEM Winter, and placing third at the BLAST World Final.
Heading into 2022, shox has been linked with a move to Liquid, where he should join the two remaining players, Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski and Keith "NAF" Markovic, as well as the reported additions of Josh "oSee" Ohm and Nick "nitr0" Cannella.
With Liquid announcing that Michael "Grim" Wince, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, and Jake "Stewie2K" Yip are no longer on their starting lineup as of Tuesday and shox's departure from Vitality now being formalized, further announcements can be expected to follow in the near future.
