Copenhagen Flames to retain roster for 2022
The Danish organization revealed that they intend to keep the five-man lineup that impressed at the PGL Stockholm Major.
The widely reported move to Complexity is out of the picture for Fredrik "roeJ" Jørgensen and co. as Copenhagen Flames announced that they intend to keep their roster for the upcoming year.
"After two months of talking and negotiating with several parties; we’ve found that the best available option for all of us is to stick together for 2022," Daniel Vorborg, the team's Head of Esports wrote in an open letter. "Now I know, with all of the rumors that some of you will think that is a solution we are unhappy with. But I can tell you that that is not the case."

Vorborg said that their imperative since signing their current roster was to keep it together as long as possible, but "there are some opportunities that we cannot offer in Copenhagen Flames, such as franchise slots and big salaries", explaining that offers such as the one Complexity was reported to put on the table had to be taken into consideration.
"We've achieved much more, much faster than we could have ever imagined with this roster, and as such, we're extremely pleased to continue with the team," wrote the Head of Esports, putting an end to speculation about the roster's future.
The team's in-game leader HooXi added that after months of uncertainty, he is happy to stay with the Danish organization. "We might not get the big bucks and the league spots, but we get a feeling of security and room to develop that no other big organization can provide."
Since the breakout performance in Sweden, Copenhagen Flames entered a slump, losing to teams such as BLUEJAYS, K23, and BLINK, an have been playing without a coach since Faruk "pita" Pita's departure to Dignitas. Vorborg takes responsibilities for the underwhelming results, claiming that conditions for the team have not been up to par.
However, with the team's future now set and the distractions of transfer negotiations out of the picture, Copenhagen Flames aim to impress in 2022, with IEM Katowice being their first big challenge in the new year.

The news from Denmark backs up the latest report by HLTV.org's Danish "Nohte" Allana from the other side of the Atlantic, who revealed that Complexity is considering signing Extra Salt's trio and building a North American roster for 2022.
Copenhagen Flames have the following lineup for next year:
Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen
Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi
Fredrik "roeJ" Jørgensen
Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard
Rasmus "Zyphon" Nordfoss
