BIG Academy undergo core changes ahead of WePlay League kick-off

Only two members from the 2021 BIG Academy have remained as the new team is set to kick off the campaign in WePlay Academy League S3.

BIG Academy have undergone core changes heading into 2022, the German organization has announced. Nico "Aqua" Kembitzky and David "prosus" Hesse are the only players to keep their spot from the previous roster, as Alexander "glaVed" Pletz, Luca "pr1metapz" Voigt, and Niklas "NIKZEj" Burmeister have exited the team.

Karim "Krimbo" Moussa is making his return to the organization, having represented BIG Academy in one of their earlier iterations before making a move to ALTERNATE aTTaX in 2021.

Rounding out the team are Elias "s1n" Stein and Marcel "hyped" Köhn, who have been making the rounds in local and regional competitions over the past year, coming from NLG and SSP, respectively.

The organization has also signed a new coach in Markus "Anhuin" Paeseler, a former in-game leader of the academy division and ex-teammate of prosus and Krimbo.

With the new roster, BIG Academy will look to improve their track record in the WePlay Academy League after placing fourth in both of the previous seasons. Season 3 kicks off on January 3, with the German side placed in Group A and facing an entirely new iteration of NAVI Junior in the opening match of the round robin.

BIG Academy now boast the following squad:

Germany Nico "Aqua" Kembitzky
Germany David "prosus" Hesse
Germany Marcel "hyped" Köhn
Germany Elias "s1n" Stein
Germany Karim "Krimbo" Moussa

Germany Markus "Anhuin" Paeseler (coach)

Krimbo for the main team would probably be every BIG fan‘s dream choice After xantares left, if faven wouldn’t exist s1n is a great player as well, although lacking international experience I don’t know much about hyped but at least his stats speak for him
2022-01-03 14:46
dunno why glaived got kicked, he seemed pretty interesting i think

Yeah, I like k1to and tiziaN but if they don’t step up their game in a massive way they can’t stay on the roster anymore
2022-01-03 14:12

K1to needs better roles to succeed IMO maybe in a slightly worse team

Yeah I think K1to would absolutely tear in Sprout instead of faveN, maybe this can happen if he ends up getting replaced

Mouz is on another level, but I think BIG AC and the NIP roster are the only serious contenders
2022-01-03 14:07
1 reply
Mouz aca is going to lose a few players to the main team so NIP is prob the strongest lineup (as this squad will take time as will the new NAVI Junior squad) Meanwhile Astralis still sucks...

Regali is a beast as well, no doubt, but I feel like Krimbo is a bit more experienced and would come out on top in a head-to-head
