The first of three rumored changes in the 00NATION camp has been unveiled.

Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David has joined 00NATION, the organization has announced. The 27-year-old has been added to the Brazilian squad amid reports of an imminent overhaul of the lineup, with reports linking them with the additions of Santino "⁠try⁠" Rigal and Mario "⁠malbsMd⁠" Samayoa.

The two-time best player in the world from 2016 and 2017 found a new home after spending the last couple of months on the sidelines. He last briefly represented Complexity as a stand-in after having spent the previous three months on FaZe's bench as he was replaced in the European team by Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer.

coldzera returns to a Brazilian team

According to several reports, coldzera was initially going to link up with former Luminosity and SK teammates Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo, Fernando "⁠fer⁠" Alvarenga, and Lincoln "⁠fnx⁠" Lau in a project dubbed "The Last Dance," but it is believed that he decided to go another way due to differences with the rest of the rumored lineup.

Instead, he has joined up with a much younger core of players from his home country in 00NATION, who had been struggling to make their mark in the scene ever since they came together as the O PLANO project in early 2021.

The team recently parted ways with Henrique "⁠HEN1⁠" Teles and Lucas "⁠LUCAS1⁠" Teles and is rumored to be cutting ties with Vito "⁠kNgV-⁠" Giuseppe and Alencar "⁠trk⁠" Rossato as well to make space for the new additions in try and malbsMd, who have posted impressive numbers with 9z and TeamOne, respectively.

malbs does, he has been playing with teamone for a long time now. try probably doesn't but he plays with bit and zakk (coach) and it's common for argentinians and brazilians to communicate with ease since we find middle ground between portuguese and spanish (we call it "portunhol"). I don't think comms wilk be an issue, it's more a question of who will igl, since cold didn't want to do it anymore, but seems likely to be the one taking that role

MIBR -> rotating 5th man (that was never incorporated properly), fer didn't care (and still doesn't, clearly), no coach (with fallen's IGL style not working anymore) and an overall bad team atmosphere Faze -> comms issues, no solid/ consistent IGL, and role issues (b.c of the IGL problem, most likely). Not to mention niko leaving lol Col -> Just broken on every front I'm not going to say that he's a superstar player (definitely not), but this team makes far more sense on paper than ANY of his previous rosters in the past 3-4 years. I don't think they'll do well for awhile, as cold def needs to ease into the IGL role, but given time I could see a squad like this becoming similar to godsent's current team, especially with an org like nvd/00nation that seems to have a good amount of resources available. 100% a step up if the org does end up signing malbs and try + drops trk and kng (which definitely looks to be happening!)

This is honestly the first time cold has joined a project that makes sense on paper since he left mibr, especially if kng does end up leaving. Everything is up in the air in regards to how this team will pan out but I for one will definitely be paying attention.
