flamie returns to competition with 1WIN
The Russian has found a new home after nearly four months without a team.
1WIN have signed Egor "flamie" Vasilyev, the Russian organization has announced. The 24-year old rifler has been inactive since November and was last seen standing in for the NAVI Junior roster at WePlay Academy League Season 2 Finals.
The news comes only four days after the team announced the benching of Vadim "Polt" Tsyrov and Danil "Ravenlot" Bikvaidze, kickstarting a restructuring phase for the squad following a disappointing finish to the playoffs of ESEA Premier Europe Season 39.
flamie joined Natus Vincere in early 2015 and played for the Ukrainian organization for six years before being benched in favor of Valeriy "b1t" Vakhovskiy. The Russian is no stranger to success, helping Natus Vincere lift 14 trophies, as well as reaching three Major finals across his tenure with the squad.
"We are glad that Egor has joined our team! This is a world-class player who will bring colossal experience and top-level individual play to the team. Looking forward to tournaments coming up in the near future," stated 1WIN Team Manager Artem "mouseTT" Karyagin.
There is still one spot left to be filled in the squad before their debut at ESL Challenger League Season 40 Europe.
