daps forms new roster under Orgless banner

The Canadian in-game leader will look to bring up a new generation of talent.

The creation of a new North American roster helmed by former Evil Geniuses and NRG member Damian "daps" Steele has been formalized, with the team's coach Hunter "Lucid" Tucker confirming to Dust2.us that the team will play as Orgless while negotiations with potential suitors are ongoing.

Among the known members of the lineup are Gage "Infinite" Green, who recently departed Party Astronauts, as well as Michael "Swisher" Schmid, who spent 2021 plying his trade for Bad News Bears. Both players put up respectable numbers for their teams throughout the year, averaging 1.15 and 1.10 ratings, respectively.

daps' new project will debut in the ESEA Winter Cash Cup on Saturday

Former Complexity member William "RUSH" Wierzba was also initially linked to the project at the start of the year, but he has since been reported by 1pv.fr and Rush B Media to be joining Evil Geniuses, with daps' side picking up former Triumph member Brendan "Bwills" Williams to fill that gap.

Marshall "Minus" Sedowicz, an 18-year-old player who last played for ATK and has three seasons of ESEA Premier under his belt, completes the team's lineup, having averaged a 1.20 rating over the last three months and demonstrating considerable talent on the server to draw the attention of daps.

Minus' potential and showcased ability also led to Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski picking him as his Bold Prediction in his Top 20 article, with the Liquid rifler stating that he looked forward to seeing how Minus fares against higher opposition moving forward.

daps' new project will debut their roster on Saturday in ESEA Winter Cash Cup 2, where they are currently signed up to compete alongside a handful of familiar names including Bad News Bears and Party Astronauts.

Orgless are:

Canada Damian "daps" Steele
United States Marshall "Minus" Sedowicz
United States Michael "Swisher" Schmid
United States Gage "Infinite" Green
United States Brendan "Bwills" Williams

United States Hunter "Lucid" Tucker (coach)

twitter.com/leetify/status/1390715793805.. usa+canada = 13.7% australia and new zealand are both out of the list so let's assume they were both on the verge of making it in at 1.44% each (they're probably not even close to that) australia + nz = 2.88% that means it's at least 5,5 more

It's been dying ever since valorant came out, if anything it's been having a resurgence in the past few months. If you have the link to the more recent data Id love to see it. I tried to find more recent stuff but coudlnt find it. I didnt get that you meant finalnd as well in the first message, thats on me

I can’t seem to find it now, but steam tracker previously had regions in their statistics. They consistently showed NA bouncing between 5-10k players. This was when cs was averaging upwards of 700k players. It’s also a notable difference when it comes to queue times for mm, faceit game searches, and general community size. If I am able to find where the statistics were (it’s possible steam stopped sharing regions) I will be sure to provide you a link to view it. The reason it will certainly differ from the leetify conclusion is because of the sampling bias it has. Leetify is a service that’s been widely advertised in very NA-focused media. It’s not going to contain an accurate database of games if it isn’t used by the vast majority of people playing the game.

How about instead of shitting people trying to help the scene, we actually try to support them? Daps could have easily stayed in valorant, but he decided to come back and keep grinding to bring back NA csgo. Credits to him! A good NA scene is only good for the whole csgo community. We need NA to bounce back.

In order to determine what personal skill is required to be an IGL, we have to establish what the goal is. He's playing in NA, the opposition moved to Valorant. He does not need to be some mad fragger. He's not going to be playing against tier 1 EU. If his team gets an org, he can get paid while teaching youngsters how to play the game

Actually a good roster. Daps always was a guy who can built a nice team from zero. Just see NRG roster. He went up so much. Belive in this roster, good players in. GL GL

He has built like 4 rosters, been kicked from alot of them with them seeing more success without him and daps is still going with counter strike. Respect.

Hopefully NA CS can return and eventually teams don't have to live in Europe to be viable. Best days of cs for me were 2016-17, exciting NA teams + personalities, those great Rank S streams. good times. CS isn't the same without NA, meme or not
2022-01-14 21:37
ty big daps

2022-01-15 03:40
just make a team name. "orgless" is boring and seen before so many times. It's just pure laziness
2022-01-15 17:45
A great roster to challenge all the poggers on faceit and the lowest random teams ranked under the rank S
