FURIA bid farewell to VINI

The 22-year-old departs the organization after four years.

FURIA have formally said goodbye to Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo as he prepares to embark on a new journey in 2022, with reports linking him to a move Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's "last dance" project, a roster that also includes Fernando "fer" Alvarenga, Lincoln "fnx" Lau, and Ricardo "boltz" Prass.

The five players have already been seen streaming matches from a LAN house in recent days, and are reported to be in talks to join Imperial according to a report from ge. The organization would need to buy out FalleN, boltz, and VINI to create the lineup, and it seems two pieces are now locked in as FalleN and VINI have departed Liquid and FURIA, respectively.

VINI and FURIA go their separate ways after four years

VINI spent four years as a part of FURIA, initially joining the organization's academy team alongside Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato before they were both almost immediately called up to the main roster.

The team steadily climbed the rankings after moving to North America in 2018, with VINI taking part in three Majors with them, managing deep runs in a handful of offline tournaments, and taking home three titles during the online era.

"You improved along with FURIA and helped us to reach where we are now," head coach Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira said in a heartfelt video recapping the 22-year-old's time on the team. "Without you none of this would be possible, and you know that.

"You're the most professional man I've worked with so far. You're responsible, a hard worker, decisive, and extremely focused. Unfortunately, for the first time, our paths will be different after four years, but we'll see each other soon and you know very well what I'm talking about.

"I'll be rooting for your success, Vinão. I love you."
