f0rest and friberg commit to Dignitas for 2022*

Update: Adam "⁠friberg⁠" Friberg has also extended his contract with Dignitas, the organization announced.

Counter-Strike veteran Patrik "⁠f0rest⁠" Lindberg has decided to extend his contract with Dignitas for 2022, the North American organization announced on Saturday. The news comes two years after the Swede made his move to Dignitas following almost eight years with NIP.

f0rest signed for Dignitas in January of 2020 alongside NIP's Major winning players from ESL One Cologne 2014 in a hope to reignite the magic that saw the Swedes mark their place in CS:GO history.

f0rest will play for Dignitas through 2022

During f0rest's two years at Dignitas, the squad struggled to achieve any international success, only managing to take a few trophies from regional tournaments such as Nordic Masters Spring 2021.

Despite this, the veteran has managed to retain a 1.09 rating throughout his stay in the squad, the joint highest in the team alongside his teammate and AWPer Håkon "⁠hallzerk⁠" Fjærli.

Dignitas sign pita as new head coach

Dignitas's active roster has remained stable since March of 2021 when Haris "⁠H4RR3⁠" Hadzic was moved to the bench in favor of Jonas "⁠Lekr0⁠" Olofsson. Since the roster change, only the coaching staff has seen movement, with the organization parting ways with head coach Halvor "⁠vENdetta⁠" Gulestøl in November before hiring Faruk "⁠pita⁠" Pita as a replacement.

The Swedish squad will make their 2022 debut at the main qualifier for the Elisa Invitational Winter 2021 on January 17.

it doesn't matter if he is carrying nip in a few games. any year where a player isn't in hltv top 20 is meaningless when it comes to what player is the greatest of all time. it would be as if messi started playing in swedish division 3 and scored 10 goals and that would be what made him better than ronaldo if ronaldo retired. it doesn't matter because the level is so low

A few games and alot of games is quite a difference, and when he was in NiP he was playing T1 opposition every game. Since he joined dignitas he's played T2 teams probably like 80% of the time sure, but you said the last 5 years. And even though they have friberg that is consistently below 0.6-0.7 rating they are playing close games against T1 teams, alot of the times it is due to f0rest. I love how you compare T2 CS too swedish division 3 football, that just shows how little you know about the scene.

Would love to see Dig become a steady top 20 team and feature regularly at t1 events. I actually think they have the firepower to do it - it's a very solid lineup. And with all the experience I think they could regularly upset t1 teams if they got into the circut and got to some lans.

With the skill he has, he could still be a top20 player easily. As much as i want to see him in a top tier team again, im very happy for my man. Seems like he is enjoying life, which is the most important thing. Kids here dont understand how cool is to play with your friend, do what you want, have fun and dont even struggle for money. Not everyone has the winner mentality of Ronaldo and thats perfectly fine. GL my man!

he has always been lazy as fuck according to GTR, he just enjoys playing but doesn't want to grind, probably the most talented player of all time. That is probably the main reason why he still has so much skill, it comes naturally, so he doesn't decline as much as all the other older players when he takes more time off.

I am sorry but friberg has no place in t3/t2 cs. Not as igl, support, anything. His stats are almost out of range (in a bad way obv). What is even more sad... he is holding back f0rest and players around him, while f0rest himself doesn't have many years left but he is still solid.
