Official: Complexity sign Extra Salt roster with Grim, junior
The team will debut for the organization on Wednesday in the Funspark ULTI Finals.
Complexity have announced the signing of Johnny "JT" Theodosiou, Justin "FaNg" Coakley, Ricky "floppy" Kemery, and coach Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen from Extra Salt, and simultaneously completed the transfer of Michael "Grim" Wince and Paytyn "junior" Johnson from Liquid and FURIA, respectively, to create their lineup for 2022.
The announcement confirms a December report from HLTV.org that indicated the above roster had become the frontrunner to be signed by the Dallas-based organization after a deal with Copenhagen Flames fell through.

"Early on in our off season it became clear that we would be moving towards a full rebuild of the CS:GO roster as our old team went their separate ways," Graham Pitt, Complexity's CS:GO General Manager told HLTV.org.
"We had many different projects and possibilities on the table from across the globe to consider and we took our time to figure out what direction we wanted to take for the next roster.
"With the core of JT, FaNg and floppy complimented by two experienced pieces in Grim and junior, we not only found a roster with great chemistry together, but also a perfect fit for Complexity to return fully to North America. All of the players are still very much in the early phases of their careers, aged 19-22, so we forsaw a great future ahead of them where they will compete for titles regionally and internationally.
"Counter-Strike in NA took a real beating over the past few years and there was definitely a desire to return to Complexity's roots as a major player in the region if we could find a suitable roster.
"It's good to remember that previous roster was meant to be based in NA, but obviously complications with the pandemic meant it wasn't a viable option for the past few years. So this isn't really a change in direction as much as it is a re-confirmation of Complexity's dedication and love of North American CS."

The move to Complexity offers the players consistent opportunities to compete in top tournaments as the organization is both a BLAST partner and a Louvre Agreement team. However, the core of the lineup will first have to recover from the loss of Josh "oSee" Ohm to Liquid, which came as a heavy blow at the end of the year.
The lineup have a difficult debut ahead of them as they are set to take on Gambit in their opening match for Funspark ULTI Finals at 15:00 on Wednesday, a match that will give us a first glimpse at how the team fares with their new additions.
