22:45 fnatic, BIG, Movistar Riders move on through RO64
In the penultimate round of the first day of the qualifier, the stakes continue to raise as more big names are knocked out and others stay in the running. The biggest upsets in this round include Nexus eliminating ECSTATIC and FORZE losing to Russian lineup UNPLUGG3D, while Endpoint met their fate at the hands of BIG.
Other notable names Apeks, the newly signed Falcons, and Spirit all win their games as well, setting up some big matches in the final round of the day:
20:35 SAW, 1WIN, Finest fall in RO128
As the team count continues to shrink, more and more notable names begin to meet, with Tricked taking down SAW, K23 defeating regional rivals 1WIN, and ECSTATIC beating Enterprise. Both SKADE and Bulgarian compatriots WinX move on to the round of 64 after victories over 4glory and the new LDLC, respectively.
The biggest favorites continue to march forward, as fnatic, BIG, HEET, and Sprout all move on to the next round. A Swedish mix headed up by Robin "flusha" Rönnquist and Jesper "JW" Wecksell, HeLlSlAyErZ, remain in contention and are next set to face off against HitMasters.
19:06 Eternal Fire eliminated in RO256 by OG
As the round of 256 nears its end, many notable squads have matched up with each other, with most of the big favorites advancing onwards. Notable results from before this round include the elimination of Aleksi "allu" Jalli's team temp by the hands of Ukrainian squad IKIGAI, cowana taking down MAD Lions, and SAW defeating the new-look Sangal.
The round of 256 itself has featured many notable matchups with some upsets for bigger teams: EC Brugge fell to Swedish mix e4e while NLG took down 777. OG remains strong, having beaten Eternal Fire to move on to the round of 128, while Movistar Riders, Spirit, BIG, and fnatic follow suit.
