23:40 fnatic eliminated in RO32, Tokyo Revengers and Bad News Eagles through to last 16
The RO32 saw the second big upset of the day as Strive in chaos took down fnatic on Vertigo 16-10, forcing Alex "ALEX" McMeekin and co. to try again in the third RMR qualifier. But it was not over, with both MAD Lions and forZe being sent home by 4glory and NLG respectively.

To round things out, Bad News Eagles continued their great run into the RO16 by defeating Benched Heroes while GORILLAZ earned their victory over ARCRED. Movistar Riders, iNation, Endpoint, and SINNERS were some of the teams that also made it all the way to the second day of play.

Juicier matchups waited for us in the RO64, MAD Lions narrowly beat 1WIN after a 16-14 on Ancient all the while SAW and Bad News Eagles destroyed Nemiga and Coalesce respectively. fnatic, Benched Heroes, and Spirit walked past their opponents, advancing to the RO32.

BLUEJAYS, recently entering the global top 30, continued their good run of form by taking down the Bulgarian mix of FATE 16-11. Meanwhile, Sangal were able to hold off Unique 16-14 on Overpass to book themselves a ticket to the next round of play.

20:25 RO128 in the closing stages, MAD Lions go through
Getting into the meat of the RO128, we saw MAD Lions end Anonymo's run while Endpoint edged out Enterprise after going all the way to 30 rounds on Mirage. Some other noticeable teams advancing to the RO64 were forZe, Movistar Riders, and iNation, who took out ECSTATIC.

Benched Heroes continued their adventure in the bracket after sending home GMT 16-9. Meanwhile, Wisla Krakow beat fellow Poles Uch1ha to advance to the next round.

19:10 BIG and Apeks go down as RO128 takes shape
With the RO256 matchups coming to an end, we have already some of the bigger teams falling through the bracket. The biggest upset was caused by Bad News Eagles, eliminating BIG on Dust2 16-12. Another big upset was that of Apeks, who went out to the Russians GMT, while forZe advanced to the next round after defeating Finest. The Poles of Anonymo continued their run after a 16-8 victory over GTZ, with fnatic and K23 joining them in the RO128.

SKADE almost let it slip against Nexus, needing a substantial comeback against the Romanians to edge Nuke 16-14. Other notable results include GamerLegion narrowly advancing over the Polish mix of SKILLSTARSpro after overtime.

As the initial match-ups for the third round of the bracket begin to be set we are still waiting for any significant upsets. The most notable match from the RO512 featured AGO against Tokyo Revengers and ended with the European mix eliminating the Poles after a 16-8 on Dust2.

16:10 MAD Lions to field rallen in sdy's absence
Karol "rallen" Rodowicz will round out the MAD Lions roster in the absence of Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev. The Pole has been without a team since January following his departure from Anonymo and will fill the void left by sdy as the rifler will be unable to attend the RMR qualifiers due to the current conflict in Ukraine, according to cybersport.pl.

BIG have announced that they will not field Nils "k1to" Gruhne in their campaign at the second set of RMR qualifiers, instead choosing to promote Karim "Krimbo" Moussa from their academy roster. The 19-year-old has been the standout performer for BIG Academy since the turn of the year, displaying a 1.15 rating.

15:49 Second open qualifier for Europe RMR to start
Over 800 teams from Europe and the CIS region have signed up to compete in the second PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Europe RMR open qualifier. The qualifier will take place over the course of the next two days, between March 2-3, and will provide four berths to the European Regional Major Ranking events taking place in Bucharest, Romania between April 17-24.

The first round of play will start at 16:00 , and will see a single-elimination, best-of-one bracket go all the way to the best-of-three quarterfinals, in which four teams will punch their tickets to the European RMR.
After that, the remaining semi-finals, third-place decider, and final will be played out for seeding purposes.
