Europe RMR Open Qualifier 4 day one comes to an end, Round of 16 bracket set
Fierce competition will unfold as European teams fight for five spots at the RMRs in the fourth and final EU Open Qualifier.
23:30 fnatic, GamerLegion, Eternal Fire survive day one
As the final round of the day finishes for the final Europe open qualifier, the last 16 teams left with a shot at qualifying for the European Regional Major Ranking event have been decided. While fnatic, Apeks, and Wisla Krakow had fairly easy RO32 games and locked in their spot, some Major upsets took place with Tricked beating K23, MONKE taking down Falcons, and even GamerLegion easily defeating Movistar Riders.

The round of 16 will feature many heartbreak games, with fnatic vs Wisla Krakow, Anonymo vs Apeks, and Nemiga vs Eternal Fire all set. Just like third qualifier, there will be a fifth place decider between the teams who lose the quarterfinal matches.

21:45 Tokyo Revengers, MAD Lions, Savage fall in RO64
The herd continues to thin as the round of 64 nears its conclusion. More big names fall by the wayside, as Anonymo took down Tokyo Revengers in overtime, Eternal Fire beat Savage, and MAD Lions suffered a surprise defeat against X Gamer.

The remaining favorites continue to march on, with the Simon "twist" Eliasson and Niclas "PlesseN" Plessen-infused Finest moving on to face Sangal. GamerLegion eased past Singularity, and are set to take on Movistar Riders in their final match of the day.
20:30 More big names clash in the Round of 128
As the round of 128 wraps up, additional big names have met their fate, as PACT were eliminated at the hands of Apeks, Into the Breach were defeated by Sacaramento, SKADE took down AGO, and 1WIN lost to Movistar Riders.

Other strong teams continued to advance as well, including fnatic, Wisla Krakow, K23, and MAD Lions. In the round of 64, some notable matches will include Nemiga vs iNation, Eternal Fire vs Savage, Anonymo vs Tokyo Revengers, and GamerLegion vs Singularity
18:40 BLUEJAYS, FTW, ECSTATIC eliminated ahead of Round of 128
A couple of notable teams have been eliminated early into the qualifier. FTW, who finished 5-8th in the second open qualifier, went out early to Iberian counterparts VELOX in a round of 512 clash. BLUEJAYS, currently ranked #30 in the world, were also knocked out by regional rivals in iNation, while fnatic took care of business against Maikil "Golden" Selim's RetirementHome.

ECSTATIC is another team that suffered an early exit and won't be participating in the upcoming Major cycle. Thomas "birdfromsky" Due-Frederiksen's squad had a 10-5 lead on Inferno but couldn't capitalize on it, seeing Wisla Krakow steal away the victory 16-13.
16:00 poizon to stand in for fnatic
fnatic's manager Andreas "Samuelsson" Samuelsson has announced that the team led by Alex "ALEX" McMeekin will field Bulgarian AWPer Valentin "poizon" Vasilev, who will be filling in for the academy player Iulian "regali" Harjău.
15:45 Last chance for European teams to qualify
The last Europe RMR Open Qualifier is about to kick off with over 1,000 teams signed up. By Sunday, the bracket will be reduced to the five teams that will qualify for the European RMRs, closing the European RMR open qualifier cycle with exception of the Far East Russia qualifier, which will yield the last spot for the EU RMRs.

This fourth and final European RMR will be particularly tough as there will be no other chances to qualify for teams that have fallen early in the first three qualifiers, such as fnatic, Movistar Riders, Apeks, K23, Eternal Fire, ECSTATIC or SKADE.
The five teams that do qualify will go on to play one of the two European Regional Major Ranking tournaments in Bucharest, Romania, in April, where they will fight to a book a ticket to the Major in Antwerp, Belgium, in May.
