Pinnacle announce $250,000 LAN in Sweden; Heroic, fnatic, Imperial invited
Eight teams will battle it out in front of up to 7,500 viewers in the Sparbanken Skåne Arena.
Pinnacle, in partnership with Black Molly Entertainment and the City of Lund, have announced the Pinnacle Cup Championship, a $250,000 LAN tournament that will take place in the Sparbanken Skåne Arena from June 8-11 in Lund, Sweden.
The event will feature a total of eight teams, three of whom have already received invites to compete: Heroic, fnatic, and Imperial. The remaining distribution of slots was not revealed, although the organizer did state that "additional invites will be revealed in the upcoming weeks."

The Pinnacle Cup Championship will mark the culmination of over two years' worth of Pinnacle-backed events that have been run in collaboration with GRID. In the announcement, it was revealed that two more Pinnacle Cups would take place ahead of the scheduled LAN tournament, further details of which are expected to be announced in the near future.
"Pinnacle Cup Championship is a testimony of the shared, long-term vision we have been committed to together with Pinnacle from the beginning of our cooperation," Tom Warburton, COO of GRID Esports said in a press release. "Now Pinnacle Cup has evolved into a firmly established esports tournament attracting multiple world's foremost teams. We aim to reinforce this position with the upcoming LAN event in Lund."
