gob b returns to BIG as head coach
The legendary German in-game leader has returned from VALORANT to become the head coach of the German team.
BIG have announced that Fatih "gob b" Dayik has joined the CS:GO team as the new head coach following his assistance during the RMR tournament, replacing Niclas "enkay J" Krumhorn in the position.
The 34-year old is one of the founding members of BIG, filling different roles in the organization, first as a player in their CS:GO team, then coaching their BIG Academy project and recently being a part of their VALORANT squad. He now returns to the game where he has been known as the "godfather of German Counter-Strike," as he reached the grand finals of ESL One Cologne 2018 and multiple Major playoffs with a German-majority lineup.
"It's time to follow my heart and return to the game that made me the person I am today," said Fatih "gob b" Dayik about his return from VALORANT. "I’m not the guy who only tried things: if I commit I am doing it at 100%. I am looking forward to working with the team and to have my first appearance behind them at the PGL Antwerp Major!"
Roman "Roman R." Reinhardt, Head of CS:GO at BIG, stated that the new coach has already had an immense impact on the team, saying "everyone could feel the energy and aura he brought with him at the RMR, and he played a big role in our performance in Bucharest."
It is currently unknown what will happen to Niclas "enkay J" Krumhorn's position in the team, as the organization are yet to comment on his future.
