disturbed steps down as HAVU's coach
The 29-year-old will remain in HAVU as a partner and will continue to hold his position as a board member in the organization.
HAVU has announced that Taneli "disturbed" Veikkola will no longer be the team's coach, a position he held for over two years after he was announced in October 2019.
The former player turned coach will now return to back office duties as a stakeholder in HAVU, one of which will be to help find the right candidate to coach the team moving foward.

During disturbed's tenure HAVU reached their peak in early 2021, hitting the 14th spot in the world ranking after former ENCE players Jani "Aerial" Jussila and Sami "xseveN" Laasanen linked up with HAVU's longtime members Olli "sLowi" Pitkänen and Lasse "ZOREE" Uronen.
The rest of the year went downhill, however, ending up in star AWPer ZOREE and Jemi "jemi" Mäkinen removed from the squad to make way for Otto "ottoNd" Sihvo and Joona "Sm1llee" Holmström, but the incoming duo have been unable to reignite HAVU in 2022 as they bottomed out below the top 100 in the ranking, recently bouncing back to 89th place.
"As of May 31st, I’ve stepped down as the head coach of HAVU," disturbed says. "The decision has been hanging around me for a while now as I’ve failed to produce results I or HAVU wanted. Past few months have been really hard for me as I couldn’t fix the mistakes we were making as a team or individually.
"This team needs a fresh start after a really challenging first half of the year and I think a new approach to the game is also needed. I hope this move unlocks the potential this team has and gets them back on the grind."
HAVU is now actively searching for disturbed's replacement in the coaching department to rebuild the team's identity in the server, according to HAVU's CEO, Lasse Salminen.
HAVU is currently:
Jani "Aerial" Jussila
Sami "xseveN" Laasanen
Olli "sLowi" Pitkänen
Otto "ottoNd" Sihvo
Joona "Sm1llee" Holmström
